family of 6 had an awesome time at the ruins, ziplines, cenotes and the lunch provided after was super yummy! Our guide Moises was great and took tons of pictures for us using our phones..
We had planned to do the swimming with turtles as well but the weather didn't cooperate. The cost of our tour was adjusted without any issue so was grateful for that transparent business process.

Solo trip for my birthday. I did the ruins, ziplining and cenote tours. Had the time of my life! Moises was a fantastic guide. We got out early enough to beat the crowds to the ruins. The views were beautiful and I loved learning about the history and culture. Ziplining was a blast. Sergio and the others were phenomenal hosts. Enjoyed lunch. The cenotes are both terrifying and wonderful. Great experience. Would recommend and would do again.

Our second time with Edventure tours. The cenotes are so private and quiet- Danny is a great guide. Taco lunch was tasty. The mosquitos were crazy! We got eaten alive.
The Tulum ruins were a bit of a disappointment- not much to see and it was very crowded.

Edventure killed it!
We had such a great time on January 19 2024.
We chose the Xtreme package added on individual ATV's, private (only our family of 4) and camera package. Communication with Eddie was easy and he always answered right away.
Once we had booked our package online, emails came quickly with details about what to wear, what to bring along and a request for sizes (for life jackets and fins).
We were picked up at our hotel right on time and the entire day we were on the move.
Because our hotel was so close to each of the attractions we only spent a TOTAL of 20-25 minutes in a comfortable van the entire day. The rest of the day was non stop activity/action at 3 local tour spots.
We were picked up right on time at our hotel by Fernando. Stopped briefly at Eddie's house to finalize payment and pick up equipment and Danny, his brother who was our guide for the day. Drove right away to Yalku Park (yalkupark.com) to be among the first visitors of the day. Fernando dropped us steps form the entrance and very quickly we were in the water WITH Danny. The equipment provided by Edventure was perfect for all of us. Good snorkels, masks that fit with suction right off the bat, no leaky masks, fins that were sized properly. Danny took us at our own pace all around the lagoon and we saw tons of beautiful fish. It was a good way for each of us to get comfortable with the snorkeling. Danny took lots of photos with his underwater camera ( and did so throughout the day). Fernando was waiting with the van when we were done and we left Yalku and took a short drive to Akumal Beach for a swim with turtles.
Akumal Beach is a very developed tourist area with lots of people doing and offering on site tours. Again, Danny got us into the water very quickly and led us with our gear (and a mandatory life ring) through the well marked course of lines and buoys. We saw a bunch of turtles and a couple of rays. Very cool! Once out of the water and showered/changed we were back in the van (again, steps from the exit) on our wayto Selva Maya Zipline Eco Adventuer Park (selvamayaecoadventuretulum.com).
At the Selva park entrance our ATV's were already lined up and and waiting for us. We hopped on and after a very brief intro on how to operate the machines we were on our way for a 3 mile ride (about 25 minutes). Danny led the way on dirt roads that became progressively more bumpy and fun. The ATV's were super solid machines and despite major obstacles on the path the comfort level was amazing. Big puddles added to the fun. We arrived to a very basic(included) taco lunch offered by the park. Lunch was underwhelming but did not diminish from the day at all. Danny then led us to two cenote. The full cover cave cenote required flashlights and again, Danny was right in the water with us leading us around. The stalactites and stalagmites were UNBELIEVABLE, the provided flashlights were necessary and cool to use and the snorkel gear and masks and life jackets made everything feel safe. The second cenote right nearby was more a neat place to jump and swim than an attraction per se.
The zip-lining was extremely well organized (as it is the main feature of Selva). We were clipped in at al times and the guides were always with us. It felt very safe and similar to other zip-lining experiences that we have had. The rappelling was new for us and pretty fun to do! The final activity of the day was our ATV ride back to the entrance to th waiting van and the short ride back to our hotel.
This tour had something for everybody and certain personal fears and challenges were met and overcome with success. We felt very safe during all activities.
The camera service was totally worth it (and required having a Dropbox account. Check for other options with Edventure)
Favorites:
20 year old son - ATV at Selva
23 year old daughter - Snorkeling in the lagoon at Yalku Park
Wife - Cave cenote and rappel at Selva
Myself - ATV and cave cenote at Selva
A final thought - one could look into organizing each of these activities and drive to the locations and have an awesome time, maybe save some money. But to have the activities so excellently coordinated into one full day adventure after adventure was a FABULOUS experience for my family and worth the investment.
Thank you Edventure Tours!

Amazing day with Danny, our guide! Transportation was seamless, excursion was exceptional. We rode ATVs through the jungle to swim in uncrowded, beautiful censored and snorkeled with turtles and in lagoon that was literally like swimming in an aquarium. Best day ever! Highly recommend the experience.

This was my second time using Edventure Tours. We had such a great time previously that I absolutely didn't want to book our cenote, Akumal swim with turtles and lagoon tour with with anyone else. Again, we had a fantastic day with our private tour (Danny led the way..Eduardo's brother). We purchased the picture package which did not disappoint. This was the most amazing cenote I had ever been in! My friends loved the day...tons of fun and very memorable. On top of all of this, the team responds to every question within a day via email! It is very hard to find such service and attention to details!

We booked a snorkeling tour with Edventure tours last minute on our last full day in Tulum and we are so glad we did. Our pick up from our hotel was prompt by our guide Moses. He was friendly and provided us with lots of information about the area and we had a great day with him. We traveled via ATV deep into the jungle to two private cenotes. Wow is all I can say, they were breathtaking! We finished the day with a delicious Mayan lunch and snorkeling at an eco park. Overall, a great last day to our vacation.

This was by far the best adventure!!! The guides educated on safety & helped us through each segment of the adventure. I’ve never been able to enjoy the jungle like this… I will be back 😊

I booked the Ziplining/Cenotes. This was the best excursion I have ever been on and I went on my birthday! They made my day so special and the staff is excellent. Our taxi driver was a funny character, Eddy the owner was so sweet, Daniel our tour guide was so insightful and the ziplining staff took care of us. The food is actually good and they even brought me a cake for my birthday. I just loved this so much and would come back to do other activities. I also want to mention that it is a private tour so you don't have to worry about tip-toeing around a lot of people. Me and my friends had such a great time!

Yes just google edventure tours and it’s the first one that comes up— with a mx after it. It’s the correct one.

We are not strong swimmers. Will we still be able to enjoy the cenotes and snorkeling?

I think so. The cenotes have no current of any sort and they have life jackets. We went to two snorkeling spots— the turtle one was in the ocean and there’s no current there either. But you are literally not allowed to stand. The second one is like a nature preserve thing and the water was so calm and warm. Again there were life vests. If you literally can’t swim at all, that could be tough. But if you can go in a pool I think you can do this.

We are staying at Bahia Principe Coba with 5 adults and 4 children - I am looking at doing the snorkel package + ruins + turtles. I am wondering about transportation...do you pick us up at our hotel or do we come to you?

Hola!
No tengo equipo, solo tengo mascara y snorquel.
Gracias!

Hi everyone I can't seem to find anything on turtle Bay....most posts seem to be about Akumal beach. We are in Mexico only a few more days and want to know if turtle Bay is very good for seeing sea turtles this time of year. Apparently the Akumal beach is closed to public at the moment for snorkelling. We don't mind spending a bit to go with a tour company but we just want to know if turtle Bay is definitely a good place to snorkel and see the turtles? Thanks for any help!!!

Turtle Bay is closed twice a year for maintaining the ecology. Once in February I think and certainly in September.

As we did not do the zip line twitch this company, we did the Cenotes and snorkel with the turtles, I would be inclined to contact the company and get the correct information you require, as I am sure each company, depending on the height of the lines are all different...better than getting there and being disappointed...Cathy

The website says 250-270 pounds max and not designed for children under 5. Our small almost 6 year old did the zip line with no problem.
