Im still thinking about this place and it's almost 9 months later . If that is a indication to come here . Stunning views magical island . Best sunsets hands down. I cant wait to return . It's worth the money to come to turks and caicos. If you are trying to decide between a hotel or Air BnB . It's a few con's to a BnB . If I go back I would
stay in a hotel / Resort in the heart of Grace Bay , why because I love snorkeling and
it's so much to see , and the water is much clearer and better coral reef . easier to
walk to places or catch a cab . I rented a car and my nerves was bad by the end of the trip . I dont reccomend it . and I stayed 5 days and the time flew by . I cant wait to return this place is gorgeous . Also I went the end of April and the beach water is a little chilly to get in . If you want warm water go a month later .

Grace Bay Beach is the nicest beach I have ever visited...crystal clear blue water, white sand, calm waters and no rocks. And you can walk for miles on the beach. Simply a treasure!

yes it's a nice beach, with nice, soft, clean sand, and beautiful blue and green water, and there's not a lot of commotion or vendors, etc. But, it's also so incredibly expensive to stay here and we have stayed places with better snorkeling, more fun beach food options, and less resorts and construction for significantly less money and had a much better time. There are plenty of beach access points if you aren't staying in one of the resorts, but the rest of the island isn't very pretty, the roads are terrible, the airport is terrible, there is construction everywhere, and even the week after thanksgiving it was so hot that you couldn't be outside unless you were in the water or in the shade. The coral reefs they have roped off also seem to be pretty well beached, compared to what we have seen in Belize or Cayman, as examples. We have recently stayed in Eleuthera, St. John, Virgin Gorda, and Belize, and I would rank all of them higher than TCI and Grace Bay. I prefer a quiet, unpopulated beach, and there are still a few sections of Grace Bay that are pretty empty, but those spots will soon be claimed by massive resorts as well. A nice beach, true, but not worth the astronomical prices and the hassles of the rest of the island.

Beautiful beach and the water is a gorgeous color. The snorkeling right off the beach is great. The toes felt happy in the soft sand. We had a beach bar at our hotel so it was nice for watching the sun sets.

The hype is worth it. This is the best beach we've had the opportunity to visit. Not only long with beautiful clear water, but also very wide. You don't feel like you are on top of anyone when you take a walk.

We took a 3 year and 10 month break from visiting Turks and Caicos/Grace Bay due to Covid and Covid restrictions (not by choice). We finally made it back and it is better than ever! While we have visited many other Caribbean beaches, Grace Bay is still the best! We cannot wait to come back!

When we saw Grace Bay Beach for the first time, it may have been what it seemed, in all those wonderful reviews proclaiming it the greatest beach in the world that only has to he seen to be believed. We parked our rental car, at a public parking spot and quickly jumped in that beautiful teal water and basked in the blistering hot sun, on that perfect white sand in what is called the “Most perfect beach in the world!”
We looked in the distance to our left and thought, maybe we will go there, where the resorts are and where we can have a nice fruity cocktail with french fries, like my girlfriend and I were so heavenly craving. And might be good to go to the bathroom too, we’ve been at this spot for a while and there is definitely not a public restroom in sight.
So we made our way further down the beach and quickly found a little beach shack serving drinks next to it. We walked up the tiny hill, only to find a security guard in a white T shirt, asking us if we were guests. No we answered. “We are not guests but do you know another restaurant we can go to nearby?” There was no answer and it was really hard to comprehend if she actually heard our question or if she was just shoeing us away like those cute little geckos roaming near the beach. We both realized we did something incredibly wrong. We were not guests!
GUEST
a word we were going to hear a lot of on Grace Bay Beach.
We walked a little further, hoping that walkway we saw next to the famous beach leads to restaurants, a place to chill and maybe even where we can meet a local or two. But as soon as we leave that beautiful white sand, we find another security guard, again in a white T shirt, telling us that we must be a guest to get on that path. In other words no bathroom, no fruity drinks, no french fries!
We started realizing that we didn’t have much of a chance doing anything aside from sitting on the beach with other western tourists staying at the resorts; those that have the privilege to go to the bathroom, eat french fries and have all the fruity cocktails they desire.
And those security guards in white T shirts, they pop up like pesky little fruit flies, not so different than they do when you leave open water melon, with an empty jar of honey and maybe some delicious apple juice open on your dining table back home.
So we gave up, and walked around the “greatest beach in the world”, with a full bladder, an empty stomach and a feeling like we were in the movie Titanic and we were Jack while everyone else, lying on those comfy lawn chairs and staying at those very fancy resorts with drinks in hand were Rose.
We gave in, we are leaving the greatest beach in the world, because there isn’t enough local culture for our taste, we simply we don’t belong and we seriously need to use a public restroom!

We have rented a villa away from the beach and have a car ad well. Is there parking on Grace bay? Also, where do we rent beach chairs, umbrellas etc since we are not staying on any of the beachside resorts? Thanks :)

Yes, I noticed various car parks situated along the eastern portion of Grace Bay Beach. Particularly near Regent Village Shopping Center and beside Sibonne' Hotel. Most hotels has their own section of lounge chairs and umbrellas reserved.

My friends and I will be staying in a villa nearby. Grace Bay Beach is a short walk away. Any recommendations for who to rent lounge chairs/towels/umbrellas from? Who has great F&B service? Where should we steer clear?

Agree with Carla. We have stayed on Grace Bay at The Sands, Ocean Club West and Ocean Club. All of them have great and the lunch and dinner. We've tried many of the local restaurants and our favorites are Coco Bistro, Le Bouchon, Lupo and Via Veneto.

Hi, I'm torn as to which hotel to stay at with my husband and 2 children.
We will be renting a car but we would
like to be close to restaurants and shops ( a few minute drive isn't a big deal).
The only must is being in Grace Bay beach.
So my options are, Ocean Club West, The Sands, The atrium and Somerset.
I'm
Looking for someone on the beach or a very short walk to the beach.
Any feedback is appreciated

Hi - looking to head to T&C for a last-minute trip June 1st. Looks like the forecasts are showing rain. Is it usually rainy around this time or doesn’t it mean that there are those quick afternoon showers and then it is quickly sunny again? Thanks.

Sorry for the late response. I’ve been to the T&C many times and have never been bothered by rain. It’s usually a brief shower and then it’s over. Enjoy!

Best snorkeling from shore spot is Smith's reef, far west end of Grace bay. You will need a car to get there. The parking lot is down a small road past a few really nice houses that front the beach. You need to walk down the left side out to the point, then turn right to get out in front of the nice houses. Beach is public and very few people find their way out there. Reefs are within 200 ft of shore.

Southwest flies directly to Provo now with a likely stop in Fort Lauderdale. Ports of Call Resort was the best for the price- it was $330/night compared to most being double that

Hi! Heading to Grace Bay next Thursday. Seeing alot of wind in the forecast, hoping it changes 😊. Solo female in her 40s staying at air b n b 5min walk from beach. Any resorts that let you use the pool/gym for a fee? Best beach bars that are a must, reasonably priced restaurant, fun HH's, or other must do's while there? Thanks!! Oh, my location is right near Gourmet grocery and I will not have a vehicle ...
