Can anyone please let me know the difference in Masai Mara and Private Conservancy.. I would be visiting Masai Mara in month of Sept and am confused where to stay.
Which is better and exciting place to stay- Mara Naboisho Conservancy Camps or Ashnil Mara Camp.

Hey! I spent 30 days in Talek, just next to Maasai Mara National Reserve. I went on a few game rides in the national reserve, and a few in Naboisho Conservancy. The landscape is different - the conservancies are typically more hilly, and more trees. A notable difference between the Maasai Mara National Reserve and the conservancies is the number of tourists allowed at the same time. In the national reserve you will rarely if ever be alone at an animal sighting - you are likely to share the view with 10-20 other vehicles. This doesn't happen in the conservancies as tourism is regulated and kept at a low level. The Maasai community benefits directly from the conservancies since they as landowners are payed a monthly rate and have legal access to grazing during sometimes of the year. However, if you dream about seeing the iconic savannah you should visit the national reserve. The animals migrate between these places. My best recommendation is that you try to find a safari camp that does game drives in both the national reserve and a conservancy. Basecamp Explorer does that!
Enjoy your trip.

If I am planning to stay at the nearby Fig tree lodge and go on game drives each day for three days, with my own driver/guide how much is a pass into the Mara Naboisho Concervancy and can I also go to the Masai mara game reserve? Iam planning my stay again for Sept 22,23,24 and 25th 2016...thanks Sandra

As far as I'm aware you cannot visit on a daily basis, you have to be staying at one of the camps located within Naboisho.
