We spent a lovely three hours paddling up and down the Thames at Lechlade. The (Canadian) canoe and other gear supplied by Cotswold Canoe Hire was perfect for us. Lovely staff, great location, and (for once) perfect weather.

Had a lovely day out last summer and they even sorted out our jumbled up booking (my fault!). Value for money and really lovely to spend he day paddle boarding with the kids and friends.

Fantastic experience, staff were friendly, advice and help excellent, equipment in good order, no fuss just great service.
We canoed Castle Eaton to Lechlade, tangled weeds, reeds, limboing under low boughs, narrow channels, shallows, awesome canoeing, beats the populated Henley / Marlow stretch of the Thames we've done previously, and no locks !
Six miles of tranquil, wildlife filled, fun and adventure. Saw more herons and kingfishers than I could count, and the odd hissing swan with signets. Brilliant, definitely coming again.

What a wonderful review. Truely captures our Castle Eaton to Lechlade trip. We are so pleased to hear you had great service and paddle on the river with us.
We hope to see you gain, but cant promise Mr Hissy the Swan won't be there!

We booked the Castle Eaton to Lechlade trip in a canoe and had a lovely trip on the Thames. It was a very interesting route, lots of wildlife and plants, sometimes narrow and challenging to get through which made it even more fun! The staff were very friendly and organised. Would definitely go again, maybe in a kayak next time 🙂

Thanks for the review. Yes, its a challenging trip but wonderful t the same time. Great to hear you enjoyed it and its definitely worth while doing it in a kayak. Not so far to limbo under the branches then!

Highly recommend the Pedalo’s. Took my 3 year old grandchild along with my two daughters. It was such fun only had 1/2 hour (believe me that’s all your need if your pedalling😂) beautiful scenery very peaceful until my granddaughter found the whistle on her life jacket 😂. Really great friendly service !

Hired two single kayaks for the day (9.30am - 5pm). Was a speedy check-in, with life jackets and a dry bag for our things provided. We were on the river in a few minutes, and had a good 3hr paddle up to the pub at Castle Eaton (only do-able as minimal current - took 2hrs to get back!), but worth it for the lunch and wildlife. We saw several heron, kingfishers (never seen one in real life before, and we saw at least 4!), as well as families of swans and a small flock of house martins skimming and diving over the water. Sore arms and shoulders today, so next time would do a half day hire with picnic....but was still brilliant to have tried the full day!

What a wonderful review. We are a little envious you saw 4 kingfishers in one session, but you have captured perfectly that upperstretch of the Thames perfectly.

Lovely people and good wuality equipment, very relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a morning out. We had experience of kayaking but if you haven't please let them know as training was minimum. Easy to use website for booking too and a timely reminder or two came out beforehand, all good service.

We are purely a Watersports Hire company and our craft are suitable for novices and more advanced paddlers. We don't offer instruction, but all safety information is provided upon booking and we will offer guidance if you are new to paddling.

Can me and my husband take our 6 & 8 year old on a Canadian canoe?
HI, Our Canadian Canoes have three seats. Children sit in the middle seat which is smaller. Because of this two small children can sit side by side. We would normally say up to Age 6/7.
Are dogs allowed on the swan pedalos?
Yes we welcome dogs on all our craft!
