이 아름다운 작은 보석으로 시간이 있다면. 운이 좋다면 직기가 작동하는 것을 볼 수는 있지만 경고는 매우 시끄 럽다. 그 과정은 놀랍습니다. 판매중인 의류는 최고 품질이며 모든 페니 가치가 있지만 슬프게도 내 주머니에는 너무 비싸다. 찻집도 방문 할 가치가 있습니다. 우리가하는만큼 많이 좋아할거야. 당신은 쉽게 몇 시간을 보낼 수 있습니다. 우리는 수시로 아주 가깝게 살고 있습니다. 나는 그저 그 곳을 좋아한다.

We checked on the website before we left to check opening times. We drove 40 miles only to find a notice on the gate saying closed on Mondays,Tuedays, and Wednesday until further notice What a waste of time and money.

Ah, but when you say 'we checked on the website'... You did not check on our website! On this particular issue, we can be absolutely sure. Our website says very clearly, as it has done for the last two years, that we are open every Wednesday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm. Of that there is no doubt. Whatever website it was that showed you something different, it was not our website, and we have no control about what other websites say about us and our activities. So why do you leave us a one star review? Isn't that rather unfair?

An absolute gem

Pottering to a funeral and not feeling great I happened upon Filkins and this splendid space. Traditional farm buildings which house crafts and also.....
A museum, a mill, a shop selling tweeds and a cafe. A sombre day and also the realisation we no longer had our Queen.
Never has a coffee been more welcome. This is a wonderful place. Enjoy it if you can in FILKINS where it almost hides

This is probably one of the nicest reviews we have ever had... To be part of making a stranger's life slightly down a bit less down, is about as good as it gets, and it certainly makes us appreciate the scope that we all have to help each other. I found this place on TripAdvisor having never heard of it before but what an amazing place. Lots to see and buy!
A range of items to suit all budgets. We treated ourselves and bought presents
The tea shop was reasonably priced with lovely cakes - never had a Banbury cake before

Peaceful place to escape for an afternoon

Had a wonderful relaxing afternoon here. Only expected to pop by for half hour but stayed for more than two hours. It's an Aladdin's cave of all sorts, not just wool, but there's certainly plenty of wool. My dad bought a high quality leather wallet and my mum was tempted by a beautiful printed cushion, whilst I was mostly enamoured with their cheese scones! We all really enjoyed soaking up the atmosphere, watching the stone sculptor at work, enjoying the breeze in the courtyard garden and the quirkiness of their vast shop. The lady in the tea room was American I think, she was really welcoming and helpful. We had a lovely time.

zappaduchess… You came for half hour, and stayed for two. That says it all, thank you and thank all your family. (I am sure you will wish to know that our very lovely 'American' lady is actually from the Bahamas, and our thoughts are very much with her relatives there in the aftermath of the devastating storm in early September.)

Fantastic place to visit

We were staying a few days in the area and just noticed the sign advertising this place on the side of the road.
Really interesting place particularly as we started spinning and weaving a year or so ago. Lots of old equipment to see and some lovely products and related items.

Lovely scone and tea in the tea shop too.

Do take time to visit if you are in the area.

Wonderful shop!

We were very lucky that RM and TM kept the shop open for us, as we arrived just as they were closing. There is a huge variety of goods here, much of it wool-based, from beautiful garments to pillows and blankets. And there were also many other types of artisan items. I could have easily stayed all night. The quality is top-notch. I also enjoyed the back rooms where there are some old looms and other production-related items. I came home with some lovely gifts. Cannot wait to return.

Heaven for fabric lovers

So much more than I expected. Clothes and house goods in abundance
Wonderful location and a gem to visit whether you want to purchase or just admire. Loved the artefacts mixed in with the items for sale. Lots of children's delights in the upstairs room which would make super stocking fillers.
Bags of fabric scraps for £20 that I couldn't resist, and wonderful ends of rolls of fabric for bigger projects.
Cafe on site for refuelling with lots of interesting options, though it was just coffee for us this time.

You can't help but spend a couple of hours here. Lots of quality, local and Made in England woollen goods. Don't miss Simon's stone carving work shop if he's there. I had the opportunity to try my hand at a little stone carving for a bit and thoroughly enjoyed it.

Interesting place to visit. Lovely woolen goods. Cafe is nice. I had the corned beef and pickle sandwich which was served with salad and crisps. Reasonably priced and delicious. Would recommend.

Shop and museum that highlights what the Cotswolds became famous for

We visited in March after seeing a description in a Cotswolds guidebook at a hotel in Thornbury. The location isn't something you're likely to find unless you go looking for it, but it was a nice experience. It is actually in the village of Filkins, near Lechlade, and there is ample parking out front. Inside, there are a wide variety of quality woolen products on sale, and as you wander through, you can see areas set up with old looms and other tools of the trade. There is also a café there, but we didn't eat. Worth looking for.
