雪解けすぐの５月６月は積雪で壊れた道の補修が進まないので、通行不可のことが多いです。秋になるほど確実に開通します。

現在、第一の滝は通行止めですが第二、第三の滝は行けます。道も整備されていて歩きやすいです。途中、ブナ林を通るルートもあるためブナ林を楽しんでから滝を見に行けます。おすすめは先にブナ林側を歩いてから滝に行く周り方です。こちらの方が登りが楽だそうです。

天気の具合が危ぶまれ、前日の雨で水かさが増している。今日はいい天気なのに！
やっと行けるとなり、お友だちに誘われ挑戦しました。荷物は軽い方いいかな。汗はかきました。風呂道具あってもいいかもです。
ネットでみる地図は簡単で、三時間もしないトレッキング場所におもえました。
待ち合わせのアクアビレッジがなかなか直前は道がくねり、車一台分しか通れない橋もあり、白神山地付近はやはりスリリング。ついてしまえば、トイレやはやく閉まる売店あるし、お子さまづれにはたまらない滑り台発見。
３つある滝が見れるのかどうかの看板あり。ヘルメットかならず。有料です。他に協力金はらいます。
普段着の軽装なら第三、第二までは快適にいけそう。途中デブなら板が折れそうな簡易な橋をわたるので、人を選ぶかもしれません。第一の滝は通行止め。ここは開通したとしても簡単でないロックなとこみたいです。登山風な沢歩きのような、けして短い距離だからと甘く見れない忍者レベルの空間です。滑ったり滑落してもおかしくないとこ、無理に見に行かなくてもですよ！地図は簡単に見せてるけど、ヘルメット必用には意味あるワイルドさを兼ね備えてました。
長靴レンタルは天気によりますが、第二で引き返すくらいならいらないくらいなら要らないと思います。滝の威力はすごいし、下から上から眺めれる場所にしたのは素晴らしいです。

Well-maintained trail that supposedly leads to three waterfalls. However, when we visited in August 2018, the trail to the final waterfall (known as the first waterfall) was closed. Also, access from the west on road 28 was also blocked. We had to take a long detour.

This trek takes about 2 hours round trip, and is not very difficult (one steep set of stairs). It starts right at Anmon Aqua Green Village. Note that you should wear appropriate footwear, as parts of the trail can be slick (waterfalls, naturally). You must also wear a helmet due to falling rocks, these can be rented at the starting point of the trail for 100 yen each. They will also ask you to register your hiking party here. There is an option to do a beech tree forest trail on the way back, would recommend during the autumn. You can also play in the stream close to the start of the trail if you bring the appropriate shoes/clothes. Changing and bathing facilities are available at Aqua Green (onsen, small fee). Overall really recommend this trek!

It was a case of passing the hat when we got to the waterfall path. We made a donation but the path to the falls is off due to upkeep and presumable a collapse somewhere. Suspect this is an ongoing situation since English reviews stopped in 2015 here.
You can go for a walk in the beech forest and hike as far as you can till the path is closed at a bridge then return and do the circular hike in the forest back at the junction. I'm sure it's excellent when the falls are open for hiking and I'm sure they need your donations.... so we did our bit. A pity since it has good facilities at the car park. I would have graded it more than average if we had seen the waterfall....
The road turns "off road" once you arrive at Anmon car park. There is a shuttle bus service on and this avoids taking your car off road. The waterfall hike is from the car park together with the circular walk. Just walk back down the road across the bridge and walk up the side of the river.
We didn't go further into the park. That was a possibility for the following day but decided to do the volcano instead.

入口から少し行くと 遊歩道があり、白神の自然、ブナ林などが満喫できるが、その先は岩石などが崩れているので通行止めで滝まで行けない

去年落石事故で、意識不明の方がでて（回復されたそうです）以来閉鎖され、今年以降は、歩道を整備しないと決めたそうです。毎年雪の季節の前に歩道を撤去し、また、春に整備されていたそうです。
そのため、今では滝を見るためには、道なき道を歩き、膝まで浸かって川を渡り、泳ぐ必要もある時があり、落石が毎日あるのでヘルメットを着用して、それを承知で歩くという文書を提出していく必要があるそうです。
それで、白神山地のメインの暗門の滝は上級者向けコースになり、観光客はほとんど行けないということになりました。
また、くろくまの滝にも今はいけません。道路が崩落してそこまで行きつけないからです。

暗門の滝へは土砂崩れの危険性が高いため、
今年いっぱいは行けないと現地案内所で言われました。

Is it a must to register hiking party? I hear it is required but I am not sure. I am going to travel there by myself with ~ 8KG of gears to take photos. I am a bit concerned about my own safety.
