地方不大，如一般公園大小，但鬧中取靜，中西式混合的樓房，維護的相當乾淨，一種舒適愜意感。
裡面販賣冰淇淋，設有餐廳，值得坐下來細細品嚐。

It is the former residence of Mr. Lin Maoyang (林懋陽), a wealthy man during the Japanese occupation era. In the 1960s, the building and its surroundings were transformed into a village for military dependents, named Yide New Village (一德新村), so the building complex is also known as "Yide Mansion".
In 2011, the building complex was listed as a "historical building" by the City Government, then was open for visits after renovation.
The main building is a beautiful Southern Fujian-style courtyard house, which incorporates the corridor with Baroque arches.
The elegant western-style building next to the courtyard house was originally a residence for the concubine. It has a semi-circular balcony on the second floor. The architecture was quite innovative for its time and is still unique so far.
At present, the buildings are revitalized and used as coffee shop,restaurant, and art exhibition halls.

一德洋樓原本是台中富商林懋陽故居，包含三合院主建築與一旁的洋樓，戰後曾經成為一德眷村，所以有一德洋樓的俗稱。三合院的立面是紅磚與洗石子的拱圈柱廊，是日本時代公共建築、豪宅的流行風格。廊柱內吊著一排紅燈籠，紅柱、白牆、木窗，非常適合拍照。洋樓是兩層不對稱建築，半方半圓的組合，簡潔典雅，可惜建築外表油漆退色斑駁，讓整棟樓失色不少。造訪當天兩種建築均未開放，無法入內參觀，非常可惜。

It is a complex of Western styled buildings. They are well conserved and now served as shops and restaurants. It is worth taking a look. The entrance is free, and you have no obligation to use their facility.
