台中に滞在中こちらのお寺へ立ち寄りました。都会のお寺らしく両側をビルに挟まれていました。寺院自体は台湾らしい色彩豊かで装飾が美しい見応えあるものでした。

Yuan Bao Gong is a temple, which is located near the intersection of Meichuan Road and Jinhua Road. The main building is small, but on the back there is a modern tall building, which is also the part of this temple. “Gong” indicates this is a Taoist temple, but this temple also reveres Guanyin, a Buddhist deity.

元保宮是位於臺灣臺中市北區賴厝里的保生大帝廟。廟前有兩棵老榕樹，還有一棵二百多年龍眼樹，不僅是元保宮鎮宮之寶，且是台中市年紀最大的一棵龍眼樹。

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the Yuan Bao Temple is actually a bunch of little temples disguised as one big temple, like kids in a trench coat. The view from the topmost temple is a great panorama of the city, and the whole thing is beautiful. Visit during holidays to see the celebrations.

前殿供奉包生大帝，中殿供奉關聖帝君，後殿有座約六層寶殿供奉五斗星君，文昌帝君及魁斗星君，往二三樓參拜要搭乘電梯上樓，宮內木頭香味濃郁，開車來到話旁邊有停車場。值得一看

When you first go to the Yuan Bao Temple, you are tempted to think that the small and ornate temple that you get to from the street is it. But if you venture down the side hallways, you will see more, much more - in fact a few floors of more temples! If you are lucky, and friendly, one of the temple staff will offer you some tea. It is just beautiful. On a clear day, from the top, you get a great view of Taichung City, as well. It is unlikely that anyone will speak English there, but no one objected to us taking pictures. I went with my teenagers. It is beautiful.
