Indrukwekkend om op de plaats te zijn waar de invasie heeft plaatsgevonden. Je kunt je nauwelijks voorstellen wat hier allemaal gebeurd is. De begraafplaats boven is ook indrukwekkend.

Resulta impresionante que en ese bello lugar hayan desembarcado miles de soldados norteamericanos para combatir por la libertad. Los monumentos modernos son lindos y llamativos, pude verlos en un día muy soleado con un poco de viento. Triste es ver las fotos de quienes perdieron su vida allí en forma de banderines colgados de postes.

If you've ever watched any war movie regarding the storming of the beaches of Normandy on DDay, this is the place. It's so surreal to believe this was once a battlefield.
This is a historical site worth the visit and to pay respect.
This beach had the largest amount of casualties of any of the invasion beaches on D-Day. There were 2,400 casualties suffered by U.S. forces. And that includes wounded and killed as well as missing. There is no concrete number for the German forces that were killed at Omaha Beach.
