This was so much fun. I do recommend watching the YouTube video of going thru The Baths and the beach. Do NOT wear flip flops. And it might be difficult to do if you are a large person or not in the best of shape.

We visited as part of our catamaran cruise. I wore Crocs while walking through the Baths and that was a mistake, recommend going barefoot. There are some steep areas that you hold ropes for, so be prepared. We got through it in about 45min, costs $3/pp to get in, and there is a bar and a couple shops at the end.

The Baths ARE spectacular! However, BE WARNED the loop trail from the Top of The Baths is very challenging - not for anyone who is not physically fit. Once near the bottom the trail goes over large rocks and through narrow tunnels, and one less able can easily fall and injure themselves. I would go back, but only by boat to the beach.

So happy we took the ferry over to Virgin Gorda and visited the Baths. We made sure it was not a cruise ship day and got there right when it opened. We were the only ones there and went through at our leisure, taking pictures and enjoying the beauty. We later talked to someone we met that unfortunately visited on a day with a large crowd, making it slow and difficult to get through. There is a restaurant and a gift shop on site.

Just go here, even if the lines are a little long to go through the caves and see the beach, it’s worth the views.
It was on my list after seeing tours from St Thomas and it didn’t disappoint, only wish we could have stayed longer!
The hike was relaxing and well worth it to see the views. You will go through tight/short rocky areas.

We visited the Gorda Baths while our cruise ship was docked in Tortola for the day. There are organised excursions that will take you there, but we did it ourselves. From the cruise port, turn left and it’s a 10 minute walk to Speedy’s Ferry. Some of the organised excursions use the same ferry, but charge more.
I’d advise getting an early ferry to avoid the busiest times. We missed the 8am ferry and caught the 9am one.
The ferry price includes transport at the other side to take you to the baths. It’s all well organised. Ferry times back are displayed. The transport also takes you back from the baths to the ferry.
Once off the transport, we made sure we got ahead of everyone so that we didn’t get stuck behind anyone. But to be fair it wasn’t overly busy and that’s with 2 big cruise ships being in port.
What a beautiful place. There’s lovely paths with gorgeous scenery. We spotted a couple of tiny lizards.
Once you get to the baths, it’s advisable to use beach shoes. Some spaces are very narrow and if you’re a little infirm you’d struggle a bit.

The site is superb, the waters turquoise the course (ideal with water shoes, otherwise it can be dangerous. a gentleman in flip-flop fell in front of us - fortunately not serious). But the site is OVERLOADED with tourists. It’s a shame, it spoils the fun a bit.

Wow! We took the ferry over from Tortola in the afternoon (key tip here) and missed all the cruise crowds. We had the paths down to ourselves and the beach was pretty empty. Devils beach (to the left) is amazing. Calm clear water. Probably good snorkeling (forgot our gear) and chill. The walk through the caves was amazing. I wish I had taken my time as I didn’t realize it was a one-way! Pictures do not do it justice. Cute little (cash-only) bar at the end and another lovely beach.

If you are fit - take the Devils Bay route from the main hut at the parking lot. Follow the signs, enjoy the shade along the way- we saw lizards and birds.
It opens out on a quiet beach that is U shaped and protected. Shaded overhangs offer a place to huddle and hang your clothes.
The left side along the rocks has great underwater features with plenty of fish and coral. Bring your snorkel stuff.
The beach is very pretty, we were there alone, then others showed up.

Visited the beautiful island of Virgin Gorda as part of a P&O cruise trip.
A catamaran took us from the port (about 40 mins) to the island, transfer to an open bus which took us to ‘The Baths’ which are a series of boulders, natural caves and rock pools.
Stayed on beach for a couple of hours, there is a nice restaurant/bar at The Baths and also one at the top near the car park.
Please be aware there are 2 options for the P&O organised trip one which takes you to Devil’s Beach via the caves and is not suitable for anyone who can’t bend down or has back or mobility issues. And the other option which takes you straight to The Baths which is far less onerous but there are several steps down so a certain level of dexterity is needed.
But well worth it, we would do it again !

I am definitely overweight and worried about not being able to squeeze through certain rocks. Is there always a secondary option or is it best not to go. Not worried about my endurance as walk everyday

We will be taking a cruise and would love to walk down Devil's Bay how long does it take? How long is the ferry ride? I don't want to miss my ship.

Can anyone that has visited recently tell me the best way to see The Baths and Soggy Dollar bar where you actually have time to enjoy them and not feel rushed? I know there are tours you can purchase, but I am worried that will feel rushed and we wont have time to just sit and enjoy it.

How do get to the baths(VG) from St. Thomas? How much and what company. Trip will be for two in July.
2020년 2월 27일 작성
Ferries do run from St. Thomas directly to VG on Tuesday and Saturday. There are ferry schedules online - if you just put VINOW in the search bar you can see them there. I would suggest calling ahead first; some of the ferry schedules listed are not accurate because these islands are still recovering from Irma.

Im cruising on Celebrity Edge and don’t see this as an excursion. Can we go on the ferry and pay on our own each way back
2020년 1월 15일 작성
Yes you can. Take the ferry and they will drop you at Virgin Gorda then you’ll get a quick taxi ride to the Baths. So with it.

Hi. We are on Celebrity Edge 1/26 and will do the baths. Question is does Celebrity transport you to the ferry or is a 10 minute walk to ferry and from ferry to ship. Thanks

When I did the Baths from Tortola on Norwegian, the ferry was right at the end of the pier. So you have to walk maybe 200 yards to get on the ferry. I guess it all depends on where your ship berths for the day which can vary.
Wear water shoes.

Bottom at the ocean walking ?

It's not a long walk from the parking lot down to the left-hand side, but it's not super easy some of the stairs are rough. If you can climb say four flights of stairs you should be OK, just take it easy. Going through the Baths to the right side is a little tricky.

Hi - we have been to The Baths before but from Tortola, we are cruising in February and are tendering at Virgin Gorda on Royal/Empress. Does anyone know where we tender?
If we take a taxi should be taxi to the national Park or at the restaurant then walk down?
We have always come from a boat and swam into The Baths :)
Thanks for any advice
