With the warmer than normal weather and much less snow, the tranquil park gardens are awakening from a mild winter and many concurrent warm sunny days. It is a nice time of the year to go for peaceful walks through James Gardens.

The park was nice and peaceful. However, when I was hiking with my family, we got RACIALLY PROFILED by a man on his bike. Terrible experience, I can't believe this is still happening in 2022...

It was hot, very humid today, with some rain showers today. Thus there were fewer people at the park. We enjoyed walking on the forest trails to get away from the scorching sunlight.

A beautiful park/garden. Huge with many little streams, garden patches, easy to intermediate trails. Lot of parking spaces and a bike lane. This park is in a quiet neighborhood. There is small duck pond for the kids and lot of shady trees for a picnic The park has many beautiful trees, and well kept lawns.
At the time of my visit, I did not find it very busy. People spread out and utilized the space. It was a great walk even though it was very hot. Did not feel the heat, because of many trees. Highly recommend it. I saw a public washroom, but I cannot comments, cause I did not use it. I did not notice picnic tables, It is for mostly hiking, walking and biking. Hope you will enjoy your visit.

Due to COVID-19, the City has not spent as much money on planting flowers and maintenance, as was spent in past years. Thus the overall experience from walking around the park is not as good. However, it is still very nice to walk the forest paths.

Went for a walk with friends. The interior pathways through the forest are very muddy. Best to take the paved walkway by the river's edge.

During the summer months, and especially on weekends and holidays, James Gardens is crowded with people picnicking, wedding parties and photography, and people going for relaxing walks on the paths through the forest. For walkers, beware of the bikers who come up from behind and don’t make any warning sounds.

I've been visiting this unique park for almost 30 years and I've never been bored. This park can accommodate you with anything: it has a nice river, it's got creeks and bogs, it's got beautiful planted and wild flower beds, it's got an old piece of woodlands...
Whenever you come here there is always something to enjoy. You can hike here, you can bike, go for walks, enjoy birding, nice blossoms, have a picnic or just sit on a bench and read a book... or you can wed your love...
This park is well kept. There are always lots of people but it's not overcrowded...

Despite the cold, rainy day, I took a walk through James Gardens and its paths into the forests. The many different types of trees, increases the variety of leaf colours, as the leaves from different tree varieties change to different colours and shades in the cold autumn weather. I’ll attach about 150 photos of trees and leaves which I took today in James Gardens. The gardens and paths through the treed areas are well-maintained.

James Gardens ist einer der angenehmsten und schönsten Orte in Toronto. Es hat einen großen Parkplatz direkt an der Edenbridge Road und der Weg dahin führt enlang der Edgehill Rd. in West Torontos gehobenem Stadtteil Etobicoke. Man hat die Wahl, am Ufer des Humber River spazieren zu gehen, oder in dem herrlichen großen Blumengärten zu verweilen.
Ein angenehmer Bach schlängelt sich den Hügel hinunter und endet schließlich in einem großen Teich , der immer voller Enten ist. Ein sehr romantischer Platz.
Die Wege entlang des Flusses sind gepflastert und sind sowohl in Fahrrad- als
auch in Spazierwege getrennt. Sie führen dort durch die Wälder mit hohen Kiefern und anderen Bäumen.
Kaum zu glauben, dass man in der Mitte einer Grossstadt ist.
Ein angenehmer Bach schlängelt sich den Hügel hinunter und endet schließlich in einem großen Teich , der immer voller Enten ist. Ein sehr romantischer Platz.
