Had our works Christmas meal here and can say it did NOT disappoint!
From the start of enquiring and dropping menus off Filippo was great.
On the night we was all greeted as we sat down.
Filippo served our drinks and food and regularly checked everything was ok as well as taking our drinks orders.
The food was well cooked and well presented and tasted delicious and the whole team agreed.
Nothing was too much.

Went on a Karaoke night and it was fabulous. Bubbly atmosphere and the staff are friendly and smiley. The food is delicious and love a good drink at this pub.

Today was not the first or the last visit we will make to this fine establishment... my sister and I have enjoyed many days/evenings at the Swan and Mitre. The staff have been exceptional today, under all the new rules and expectations due to Covid 19. David , Kirsty, Megan and Rab have taken care of us with today with the perfect balance of warm friendly welcome as well as the required professional behaviour that is naturally expected in their employment roll. Couldn’t have asked for a better environment and atmosphere for our evening today. All our thanks to the staff that have been mentioned plus all that have served us previously. Our love to you all

We had a booking here for an event on the 8th February. The booking process was easy and Ray was very helpful and explained the process with regards to booking, drinks and food platters. Sadly, due to a bereavement in the family, we had to cancel our event. When we contacted the Swan & Mitre about this the staff were extremely understanding and Ray contacted us personally to offer his condolences and help us sort out the cancellation. We wanted to say thank you to the staff and Ray for being so kind and helpful. Excellent customer service - would recommend.

Visiting the area for a large family meal. Decided to visit the pub to collect the cask marque app certificate however the locals have completely ruined the atmosphere. It's listed as family friendly but as soon as we approached the pool table the look we got from the locals suggested this was sacred ground and approach at your own risk. All our 3 year old wanted to do was have a try but the only way this would happen was for us to enter a pool competition with winner stay on. It's 5pm. Perhaps the pool mad locals could come AFTER children friendly hours
