I traveled to many countries but i have worst experience i faced at schiphol airport by immigration officer.
They rudely said that there is problem with your name .you should check it. I asked what kind of problem that i could sort it out in future but they detained me for 10 minutes without reason

Security check personel with huge ego and need to project their power. Secirity herd people like cattle. They heckle prople for taling out theif laptop and cellphones and if not putting all belongings in one tray. They thrn refuse you to put items on the conveyor and state lets see how fun to wait here for hours, hope you have alot of time to spare. When going back to go to other line they confront you. Doing the bodyscan they then heckle what clothes you wear and after the end of this ordeal they like to speak to you to straighten you out. They have no signs about putting all electronics in your bag and all possesions in one tray. This is not common practice and creates friction. They shoud fire the cocky attitude srcurity personel. When complaining the service is thd worst they just ask why do you travel from our airport then. This says it all about the attitude. Should be renamed Shi*hoole.

In previous years, we often flew with KLM to Bangkok and had a stopover at Schiphol. Never had anything to complain about. Yesterday had a stopover and thought we had plenty of time. 2 hours and 40 minutes should be enough. God what a panic. There were 2 people working in passport control and there were thousands of travelers in line. The one passport control officer was also really rude to people and shouted. We were far away, but you could hear every word he shouted. People began to panic more and more when they realized they wouldn't make their flight. We ran like crazy to our gate after passport control. The gate was closed, but we were allowed in anyway. We will never fly via Schiphol ever again. We travel a lot, I have never seen such a disorganized and unhelpful passport control ever. If you have the opportunity, I recommend you avoid Schiphol.

Just like Amsterdam, the airport is filthy. Didnt see a travellator. Ypu just walk amd walk. Fine if your not like me with a bad back. Check in and security staff rude. Worse than than the aggressive American security staff. Watched another traveller ask for help, and saw staff member rudely say not my job and turned her back on them. Travelled to every continent except Antarctica and this airport is probably number 2 worst airport in the world. Management get the high pressure cleaners out and clean your airport and train your staff in what customer service is.

Incredibly officious and sour security staff running checks on flights coming directly from a 12 hour flight from Bangkok (also Hong Kong) to transfer to a UK flight - so many people’s bags opened - including mine and a pricy water bottle that I’d refilled with Evian water in Bangkok airport failed a machine test! Confiscated. Airport signage unhelpful. Feel of the airport and staff so different to two years ago. Will do my best to avoid connecting flights at Schiphol.

At this airport, baggage checkers allow themselves, without any demand or reason, to empty all luggage from bags and turn it inside out.

This is without the worst airport on earth. Rudest staff I have ever encountered in any walk of life.
Security staff at search area were so rude to people. A so called supervisor called a child an idiot because he knocked a suitcase over. They don't entertain complaints. Avoid if possible.

Renovations, renovations, renovations at this airport.....trying to find your way to where you need to be is a struggle these days! You could do so much better but you don't seem to care - why think about the paying customers, we're just a nuisance, aren't we?

This airport is simply dark and too complicated and way beyond its date. Not a very positive image for the Netherlands that is a fantastic country with fantastic people.

On arriving, passport control was quick but a quiet time of day. Baggage a bit slow coming out but quicker than Heathrow. On departing next day, signage is terrible- main signs relate only to Schengen departures. But found check-in in the end. Check-in hall was a bit of a scrum but check in was quick once it became clear where desks were. Security was quick- brand new scanners. Airside non-Schengen facilities are dreadful. Nowhere to get decent coffee or food. Dirty. Crowded. Desperately needs an overhaul.

Overall, Schipol has gone from being a good airport to one of the worst in Europe (Leeds-Bradford is worse!). In part it is showing it’s age, and a major renovation is needed. I would avoid flying from here in future unless improvements are made.

Huuuuge delays….. changing gates every 10’
Not enough screens for gate info….. 5€ for small water….
I’ll try never to fly though this again….
Sainting in plane for a runway to open…. Too busy for these guys to handle….
