Very funny, very adult panto - Aladdin, One Rub Too Many. Cast working well together & putting twists on some well known songs. The 12 days of Christmas will take me back to this show every time in future! Special shout out to Robert Rees taking on the dame role with great energy, lovely singing voice & wonderful comic timing. A great giggle.

Office social secretary and our resident Guildford expert booked this as part of our office Christmas night out. Despite her worries, we thoroughly enjoyed it and are still talking about it in the office 6 weeks later. Absolutely was an ADULT panto given its content, but the production value was high for such a modest ticket price, and the acting was high class.
The ability of the actors to involve the audience (and ad lib) was first class, and exactly what you want from a panto. Most of us had no idea the Guildford Fringe Theatre Company even existed, but it is now firmly on our radar and we will be going to future shows.
HIGHLY recommend - BUT NOT FOR CHILDREN!

This must be our fourth year, taking our just turned 20’s children, their partners and sis/bro in laws. An intimate show for around 50 people, great cast, well-written script and witty ditties throughout. It’s a must pre-Christmas event and we are already looking forward to next year! Even though the pub is mobbed, it adds to the evening bustle, so preordering drinks for the 15 min interval is essential. The Star Inn could do better looking after the facilities, especially as they know high traffic is likely. Other than that, we had another lovely night out with the family.

Very disappointed. The venue is too small. Over priced tickets for a rep type show. £10 would be more realistic. Seen better in a village hall. I will not visit again.

Aladdin - a great adult pantomime. Well rehearsed and bringing current day events into the dialogue. Very witty, well produced and worth the money. Well cast and no criticisms whatsoever. Looking forward to the next production

A group of 8 of us went to see Aladdin Rub my lamp as a Christmas trip. When we first walked in everyone was weary but honestly I haven't laughed so much in ages!
All the cast were fantastic ad our friend Sam sat in the best seat and got a little part on the play ;)
I'm genuinely trying to find someone else to go back with the see it again so if you get the opportunity please go and see this Panto- its hilarious!
YOU CAN RUB MY LAMP!
We ended up singing the songs in Burger King afterwards so so so brilliant!

I've not laughed so much for a long time. The actors were brilliant, this wasn't an Am-Dram production, the plot barely existent, the songs well modified from the originals, a true pantomime. We will return, honest. Very intimate venue, only about 50 in the audience but that was fully booked. The pub was very cramped when it came to getting a half time drink, but overall a completely satisfying evenings entertainment.

This year we have attended 8 Guildford fringe events. Venues included the Back Room, Clandon Wood Burial Ground, The Keep Pub and Bar Des Arts. There were 9 venues in total.
We have enjoyed some fantastic events from Shakespeare to Laurel and Hardy, flamenco to Sinatra and more. All excellent and can't wait for next year
