Not the best of roads into or out of this ferry but it was a short wait, staff were pleasant and it didn’t sink I guess! Quite expensive at £5.80 for a car crossing single tho. Only went as the sat nav decided we should go that way.

Great service, cheap for car but as someone says if you need to use the ferry multiple times if staying in Boddinick it could get pricey.

There and Back again
For many years I have watched the little chain ferry pop back forth from Bodinnick to Fowey so when we happened to be near Bodinnick coming back from Polperro on our way to St Austal we decided that we would ride the ferry. We waited just a few short minutes and found ourselves at the front of the 2nd line of traffic so had a wonderful view of the crossing. Not big enough to be able to get out and wander but then the crossing only takes a few minutes. We really loved it and would definitely do it again

Very handy ferry
커플
Very handy ferry across to Fowey that for £5.70 per car saves a fair bit of time on the road plus gives you a great view up and down the river. Only a short wait when we arrived and the ferry makes very regular crossings.

Very efficient service
It is what it is, a flat car ferry service between Fowey and Bodinnick that runs back and forth and back and forth. The men who run it are very friendly and the crossing saves you having to drive round the estuary. Price was reasonable .

Shocknng cost for foot passengers

So shocked to find that the cost for a foot pssenger is £2.20 one way. As a family staying in bodinnick for the week we will be bankrupt if we have to pay that each time its outrageous. Have rang to check but there is no opportunity to buy a weekly or family pass. Please reconsider!

Great, efficient service that saves a large amount of time travelling from Looe side to Fowey. The access road was a bit of a challenge for larger cars but manageable. The car park just on the Fowry side was also very convenient if not a bit busy. We will definitely use again.

No nonsense "floating bridge " type ferry
No nonsense "floating bridge " type ferry almost continuously crossing the estuary / river between Bodinnick, and Fowey. The service runs quite late on Fridays and Saturdays
Simple drive on / drive off just about 500 yards between the slipways. Nice swift journey between the yachts and other river traffic to a very small village on the east bank of the River Fowey. Helpful friendly people running the ferry that saves quite a detour. It is a useful local asset.

Expensive and poor customer service. My family were overcharged and then not refunded when I notified the man collecting the money - in fact he was quite rude!

Poor service, it was busy yesterday and we had reached the other side before everyone had paid. I was with my family 2 adults and three children all stood together. They asked how many to which I said five. He then charged for five adults. When challenged after payment they said you need to specify, no apology, no mention of refund just a smarmy look.

So be warned if they can pull your pants down they will.
