My family and I have enjoyed many, many wonderful visits at the Trust site and were members for years. Howl night was a particular favourite. Learnt so much every time we visited. Thank you so much. Sorry you’re gone but thank you for all you’ve done for the beautiful wolves

J’ai beaucoup appris sur les loups, les meutes... merci à toute l’équipe qui s’occupe de ces loups avec amour. Une belle expérience et l’équipe très accueillante. 👍🏻

Went on a Walk with Wolves experience which was amazing g. Staff very knowledgeable and clearly love working /volunteering there. Treat wolves with respect for the wild animals they are, not exhibits. Would highly recommend a visit. My daughter loves her Wolf Hoodie too! Thank you.

My daughter and I visited recently and we had a marvellous time. The wolves are such majestic creatures and we really got to see their individual personalities as they came to “greet” us at the edge of their enclosures. We also held various reptiles and admired the huge tortoise as it walked around the grounds. The conservation trust do a fantastic job taking care of these beautiful animals. Such a shame it’ll be closing down soon

We wanted to visit the centre for a while but had to wait as it is open to the public only on Wednesday. We went during the summer school hols and did not regret it!! We had a wonderful time. It was really eye opening. You can learn so much!
The place is easy to find and parking is available (free parking). The centre welcomes you with a smile and a free tea/ coffee (donations welcome if you wish to, everyone did offer one).
The whole centre is cleverly done. A lot to learn for the little ones as well as the adults (posters, videos, photos, skulls, facts....). The wolves are great and the volunteers are brilliant, you can really feel that they love the wolves, they really care for them, they take the time to answer every single question you may have, even if they already answered the same question 10 min ago. Some of them have seen the babies now being adults. They know so much and they share their knowledge with the adults and children. The rest of the staff is very nice and helpful too.
We spent 3 hours there, lunch included (we had taken a picnic, many tables are available) and we also had to wait 25 minutes to see the feeding time at 2.00.
Sadly the centre is closing at the end of August as some of the wolves have reached retirement age, same for the owner, so we recommend that you go quickly to visit it as it is definitely worth it.

Working in the animal care sector myself I have always wanted to walk with wolves and study their behaviour. I had a three hour drive from Norfolk but it was worth every minute. The entire facility is so well maintained and the staff and volunteers welcome you on arrival with tea and biscuits. The wolf walk is so relaxing but informative and the staff love the wolves dearly. You are then able to watch the wolves being fed whilst the volunteers explain more about the behaviour etc. You do not feel rushed and are encouraged to stay behind to ask any questions you may have. The trust closes to the public at the end of August 2018 so hurry up and get down to one of the best experiences you will ever have! If I lived closer I would volunteer myself!

Booked a wolf walk for my husband's birthday and it was such an amazing experience! It was fascinating and a privilege to see how the wolves interacted with each other and the people that raised them. The volunteers were so friendly and helpful and it was great to meet Tsa Palmer who set up the Trust. Plenty of tea and biscuits after and we got to see the wolves being fed and they even had a howl at the sound of the ice cream truck music in the distance!

We chose to visit on a Wednesday when no pre booking is required.
Parking at the entrance for a dozen or so cars but a massive field just a few years away provides an overflow facility.
The volunteer staff were friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the wonderful creatures they are helping to conserve. We split our visit in two with lunch at a nearby pub recommended by the trust and rated highly on tripadvisor.
Not the easiest animals to photograph / video being enclosed as they are behind a see through wire fence so my tip is take as many shots as you can to ensure you some really good ones for a memory.
Sadly it appears from the UKWCT website that there will be no further admissions to the general public after the end of August so if you intend to see these creatures then don't hang about.
Search for them on YouTube to get an excellent idea of what this place has to offer. It goes without saying that each and every wolf appeared to be in immaculate condition bearing in mind of course that shedding their winter coat means that one or two of them seem to have had an unusual short back and sides appearance.
Would recommend. Please don't miss out if you are fascinated by these lovely creatures.

We had been meaning to visit for months and finally had a few hours free on a Wednesday, which is when the Trust is open to the public to visit. Free parking!
My friend is registered disabled and we visit a LOT of different attractions, zoos & wildlife centres so were surprised that no discount was applied for the disabled. We appreciate it’s a charity but so are the majority of other places we visit, and they still offer a discount. They do discounts for OAPs but sadly we’re still a bit too youthful for that.
Nevertheless, we paid to go in & were told tha5 feeding started soon. It wasn’t busy and it meant we had a front row view of feeding time.
We mooched to the far end and found a couple of goats who entertained us fir a few minutes (we later found out they are the natural lawn mowers for the Trust - fantastic!)
We stopped by each set of wolves & a lovely volunteer told us all about each wolf as we went.
There’s an education centre with information, pictures, books, and a video on loop.
The shop is back where the entrance is and all the staff were very friendly. We went away with some little souvenirs of our trip.
We were only there for about an hour but we’re very glad we went & saw the beautiful wolves!
We may well go back for one if the walks or a howl night soon

This was one of the best experiences.. the wolves are really well kept and loads of open space for them. The keepers were really knowledgable about various conservation projects around the world..

When is the best day to visit. What is the admission fee. Can one interact with the wolves.

Wednesdays are visiting day and they are open to the public from 11am - 4pm. Prices at the gate are £8 for an adult and £5 for children.
You cannot interact with the wolves.
They do run a 'Walking with Wolves' programme but you have to become a walking member. This costs is £125 per year and allows you and a friend to walk with the wolves once during your membership year. At present I believe that this has been temporarily postponed though due to such high interest and demand.
If you are interested in this it is best to phone the trust and enquire about this.
Their phone number is -
+44 (0)118 971 3330
Office hours are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm

Is there a minimum age you need to be to go on the wolf walks
Tsa P
Beenham, UK
The minimum age to go for a walk with Arctics is 18. To walk with the Beenham pack wolves is 12 accompanied by someone 18+ however due to a large amount of memberships, the Trust is not taking any new members currently to ensure all current members that have already paid to go on a walk gets an opportunity to get their free walk. We are hoping to open it again later in the year.

How long would you say you spend here on a Wednesday visit? We are planning on traveling from Southampton.

They feed the wolves st 2 o'clock so you don't want to miss that. We arrived about 11 and had a look around. We then went to the six bells for lunch. We went back for feeding time and stayed until they closed. The children spent a lot of time handling the reptiles.

My husband and I are members and part of that membership allows us to take a guest each, free of charge, on a walk with the wolves. We paid £60 to take an additional person with us so actually being a member is quite economical. It is a great experience and involves a talk from one of the senior wolf handlers and after the wolf walk you have a welcome tea or coffee and lots of biscuits before you see the wolves being fed. Best to contact the UKWCT directly in case prices have changed.
