Staying in Castleisland with friends a trip isnt complete without a walk along the lovely river walk. Lovely benches to get along the way. I would recommend strolling and admiring the surroundings. I enjoyed this particularly this time as I are a beautiful lunch in Nana Beas and the walk was needed afterwards. Stuffed full of delicious food.

Nice hospitality and food at CastleIsland River Walk Hotel

This was a bustling restaurant that served us late on a Sunday night. The food was delicious and satisfying. The locals eating in the restaurant were kind and welcoming.

This was the second Hotel where we stayed on our Tour with Harris Coaches. We stayed here for 4 nights. Visiting Ring of Kerry, inch and Dingle Bay. Thoroughly enjoyed ourselves

Perfect summer evening.

It was lovely, the ducks were swimming alongside us. It was so peaceful and safe.
A great walk away from traffic. Recommend to visitors as well.

A very pleasant walk

I have been visiting Castleisland all my life and never did this lovely walk along the river Maine. At the end we visited the Catholic church which is quite imposing outside but a bit disappointing inside

Walked the walk everyday!

Lovely, safe walk, where you meet loads of locals and lots to see and gives you a real feel for Castleisland. The Old Mill, the Church and you can deviate off it at loads of bridges and head down the Main Street and do lots of shopping! Great shops and coffee shops as well.

The eastern part is really nice and enjoyable. Take care crossing the Killarney Road. At the western end, the walk fizzles out a bit and could do with some signage. Well done to the locals for developing and maintaining it.

If you are in castle island then this is a delightful walk to do. Very accessible, just round the back of the main street. Very relaxing and well maintained, at the same time, not very busy and beautiful scenery. Definitely worth doing in the afternoon or evening.
