He reinforced his Aussie street cred with a haunting rendition of Waltzing Matilda as an encore.
QSO were fabulous back up and then showed off with a lively and precise performance of Holtz's The Planets.

The QSO presents a variety of events each year, and has developed relationships with many stars of the podium and voice and instruments. At this time of year we always enjoy planning our subscription choices for the next year.

Attended the QSO performance of Mozart's Requiem. Absolutely wonderful! Orchestra was magnificent and the accompanying voices were incredible! How lucky we are to have such talent in Queensland!

Twice a year, around March/April and November/December, the Queensland Symphony Orchestra puts on an amazing show introducing children to the Orchestra. It’s fun and light-hearted, and gets the children up and dancing to tunes they will know or recognise. These concerts used to sell out months in advance, but are now held in the Suncorp Piazza at Southbank, providing more space and greater capacity. Tickets are available through the qtix website – look for “Kiddies Cushion Concert” under the 'Family and Kids' genre. Tickets are value for money at around $16 per person. It’s probably best suited for 2-7 year olds, although younger children would also enjoy it. I can’t recommend these enough – I've taken my son to 3 of these concerts and I've enjoyed them as much as he has.
