We had two lunches here,very nice food,my husband enjoyed the beef and Guiness pie so much he had it on both occasions,I had the fish and the chicken schnitzel nicely presented,tasty and a good amount,lovely lager,nice ambience ,would return again

$16 for a beer and lemonade. Had fish and chips. Got 2 pieces of cheap supermarket fish deep fried within an inch of its life. Tasted like grease and paid $19 for it.

I came here one evening and ordered the chicken schnitzel which was 1/2 price on special. (I think about $9). I then ordered a glass of coke zero (which came from the soda fountain) and they charged me $4.50 for the drink. That left a really sour taste in my mouth. The food was good, and the view nice from up here. There is some sort of dance floor but no one was using it and the coloured lights were a bit annoying during dinner.

Great place to eat on Cavill Avenue overlooking the beach. A 'genuine Irish Pub' in the heart of Surfers.
Very varied menu, great service and a wide range of beers. Great pub grub and a very welcoming place.
Although we didn't have a booking, Greg the Manager quickly made a place for us looking out over the water in front a very big window. Could have stayed for hours if it wasn't so late.

Second visit to this Tavern in 1 year, Tuesday Night was quiet however it took over 20 minutes to get our drinks brought to us from the bar. A second drink was ordered and my brother in law went to the bar to pay for it however the person behind the bar could not assist diners that were squabbling with their bill how to split it so we cancelled the drink as it took ages, consequently one of the floor guys with longish curly hair came over in a stand over way enquiring about the drink we said we cancelled it and we left..with attitudes like that never will i visits this place, only thing good is the street parade.

All of the staff are superfriendly and always smiling. The service is impeccable, and the food equaly great. We have been back several times and have left with a smile every time. The kids also loved it, especially as they got drawingbooks and stickers every time (and they also loved the food).

Sunday night dinner was loud and had a rough crowd. Wouldn't recommend it for families, elderly or people who like to talk rather than shout at each other. The only redeeming feature is it's location with a view of the beach. Food was not of a high standard. If it's a loud, noisy pub feel your looking for, then this place will suit you.

Strongly not recommending !!!
1. Barteders - they don't know basic Irish drinks .... we tried Irish coffee - Irish coffee was made from Bailey!s and whips cream !!! Thank god they know how to serve beer !!!
Advice for manager... Irish coffee recipe
Main alcohol: Irish whiskey
Ingredients: 2 2/3 oz (4 parts) Hot coffee, 1 1/3 oz (2 parts) Irish whiskey, 1 tsp. Brown sugar, 1 oz (1½ parts) Fresh cream
Preparation: Heat the coffee, whiskey and sugar; do not boil. Pour into glass and top with cream; serve hot.
Served: Hot
Drinkware: Irish coffee mug
2. Baby Guinness shots - don't try them, terrible !!
3. Staff atitude - 20ish years girls with boobs (men you will enjoy THE view) but rude and disrespectful to clients !
4.this pub has nothing in common with Irish pub ... honestly is better to have drinks in Loose Moose bar in Broadbeach

O'Malley's has a great pub atmosphere. The food is good, and fast enough, and served with a smile. The smokers area didn't have any smokers so it was a nice quiet spot with the best view.
I ate there twice - I guess that says it all.
My only "gripe" was that they had live music in there one night. The music was fine but in such a small area I had to yell to make myself heard - I was in there to chat with someone. But others enjoyed the music.
