Always gone to The Regent Cinemas growing up and started going again recently. Always love the interior design and the movie theaters themselves. Comfy seating and great big screens. Price of tickets is good too. Certainly a family favourite and they always have good movies running.

At least by answering the phone or returning calls - left messages wanting to inquire then purchase family passes for Xmas but all as got was crickets !!

Attended screening of National Theatre Live film. Screening time advertised did not include 20min intermission in the filmed play. The Intermission should have been removed from the screening as this caused the film to run overtime, therefore people arriving for the next film, standing noisily in the hallway, opening the theatre door and making it impossible to enjoy the last of the film. Upon exit and mentioning the problem to staff member, was advised to report it to the front reception! "No, I'm already telling you". Did not appreciate the apathy.
Return to the theatre today to view film advertised as screening at 11.25am. Not screening, advised I had the time wrong - until another person arrived to see film and showed a screenshot (from 10 hours ago) of the time advertised 11.25am -we were then told that times were subject to change blah,blah.... I think it's time to review your procedures and pay attention to detail.

The Regent Cinemas are in Lydiard Street, Ballarat. The Regal screens a variety of genres. The multiplex complex has six different auditoriums. including 3D and Gold Class. The Regent screens mass-market block busters, and other genres, such as Art House films. If you have a loyalty card you can get a good discount. By the way, the Regent also hosts concerts and other performing ats

The Regent Cinemas are in Ballarat's historic Lydiard Street. The multiplex complex has a good variety of films. You can book in advance; there are loyalty schemes, if you are interested. The Cinemas are comfortabe and not too expensive.

went to regent last night payed for 5yr card and then had to pay for ticket to watch movie asked when movie started office worker said 2min. got there popcorn and drink went into cinema3 movie had started not impressed one bit and there website says different buy movie card for 5yrs and free ticket nothing else then the 2 adults had to buy ticket to see movie on top of card purchase website states free ticket on purchase so wasnt free then rang them up said i gave wrong phone no. like really get your act together update your website also false and misleading info

The Regent is an older style picture theatre which has been converted into a multiplex with nine cinemas. The seats are comfortable, but it pays to splash out for Gold Class treatment if you can afford it. The Regal is in Lydiard Street, the historic cultural centre of Ballarat. As it would soon be Seniors' Week, the Regal had a very good selection of new-release movies which appeal to a mature demographic. Had we stayed longer, we would have joined the loyalty scheme, which is a very good deal.

Been visiting the Regent for years. It had been a long time since my last visit. The building is mind blowing and charming. Staff are professional and attentive and the complex so clean and fresh. Took up a great Club Membership and can’t wait to return. Do yourself a favour and organise to see a movie here.

We've been here a couple for times. The historic building is beautiful with lovely décor. The place is clean. Staff are nice, friendly & helpful. Couldn't ask for better.
Only 2 negatives - metered parking outside (except on weekends). So, if you're watching a movie longer than 2 hours, you have to come out & feed the meter! And, unless you pay for Gold Class, the seats are not very comfortable. Maybe we've been spoiled by other cinemas that have comfortable reclining seats in all parts of their cinemas, not just in Gold Class.
Still, this is a great place to see a movie & we might try the Gold Class experience next time.

Absolutely beautiful old historical cinema. A must if you visit Ballarat. The photos don’t do it justice. Do yourself a favour and watch a movie here. The service and candy bar were fantastic. Well done Regent.
