One of 3 hiking track across the Burleigh Head National Park, a lower one along the water, and a higher one through the rainforest, but this one gives you the best of both, with a couple of decent lookouts to the south & east.
I would recommend approaching this track from the burleigh heads side, so once you have climbed the first stairs, the track west from Tumgum Lookout is mostly a steady decline, whereas the decline is a bit of effort to head in the opposite approach from the highway side.
Quite enjoyable, even encountered a Koala who crossed the track in front of me then scampered up a tree. Just a fabulous piece of national park to enjoy
