My friend and I are planning on visiting Denver June 2-6 and wanted to hike up and camp at the top on Thursday and Friday (June 2 and 3) My questions are:
1. What sort of snow/weather should we prepare for? From what I have gathered there is likely a bit of snow that we will run in to. Do we need a tent or can we get away with a tarp and sleeping bags? While hiking boots be okay for this? How cold will it get at night?
2. We are flying in to the Denver airport. Is there a convenient transportation option set up for us to get from the airport area to the trail head (or close?), aside from a taxi or Uber?
Any other tips and/or suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance (:
