We used taxi to visit temple, the driver waited for us in parking lot and when we were finished, he took us back to the Hotel. The wait time did not cost us any additional charge. Only paid meter price of taxi. But be sure to ask taxi service what they are willing to accept for wait.

Taxi is the easiest option we found. but also we used a taxi for the day about £15 £16 and were able to visit various places at our own pace, Marble Mountain is well worth a visit and we did that the Lady Buddha and the American Beach etc etc. good value and a great day.

I used my scarf to cover my bare shoulders/arms when entering temples as a sign of respect but it’s not strictly enforced like in Thailand. There’s no dress code.
