Fun to walk around and see the murals. It was easy to find nearby parking. It was a little hot but otherwise it was nice to walk around and snap pics.

I love street art. Staying in Long Island City, this was easy to get to on foot. Small area of art but so many different styles. Loved it

We read about this in 111 Things you must see in Queens. We walked from Ferry stop in Astoria and along with other stops in Queens including breakfast at Astoria Provisions this made for a very nice day. Also try dinner at Stix.

As you visit to Socrates Park , you can easily walk a few blocks to see some of the best graffiti anywhere. The artists have given serious thought to their sometimes not so serious work. I have enjoyed these for several years. Some are thought provoking and some are amusing.

I love walking or riding my bike down this street, since there is inevitably a new piece of street art to see. Always interesting, often provocative and beautiful.

I live about .75 mile away from here so I take it for granted. I ride my bike through these streets daily going to/from work. Sometimes I slow down or detour to take a better look. I’m always amazed when I do. And always see something new.
Right by the ferry, There are a couple of cafes nearby. Socrates sculpture park is worth a peek too if you’re making the trek to our fabulous out of the way neighborhood.
There’s an annual festival when new works are created/unveiled. Happens at the end of June or beginning of July I believe.

This is a great spot to wander around and take in the eclectic collection of murals. From whimsical to wise, the artists have given us a chance to peek into their souls and experience their art in a unique surrounding. From here, you can head to Socrates Sculpture Park for more art. So much to see in Queens!

This corner of Astoria hasn't gotten all Bushwickified yet, but there's an amazing landscape of contemporary street art. Interesting political touches throughout.And it's spread out, across the neighborhood, rather than concentrated in a small band like in so many spots (no ATM machines next door so you can sit at tables and get drinks whiles staring at the walls!). It begins just steps from E. River ferry landing. But then extends across a still-real neighbohood in which people live and work. Cool. Check out Socrates Sculpture Park and the waterfront, just steps away from the Graffiti Project

If you have time head to Astoria to check this place out, it’s lesser known than the Bushwick Collective in Brooklyn but that gives it the benefit that you won’t have to deal with heaps of tourists and you still see some amazing stuff!
