I attend this church for the Old Astoria Neighborhood Association meetings on a monthly basis. Outside St George's, there is a cemetery which goes back to 17th Century, and where some of Astoria's founders such as the Blackwells, Halseys and Stevens families tombstones can be found. St George's is the oldest Church in Astoria and was originally built a few blocks away on Astoria Blvd. If you are a tourist in the area, they are well worth a visit.
