A wonderful morning of sightseeing and learning

Salman was an amazing guide! He had so much enthusiasm for Old Delhi and for sharing all his fantastic knowledge about the history, culture, people and architecture. His knowledge of all the religious history was particularly impressive. It was like being out for a morning with an old friend around his home town and I can’t recommend this tour enough!!

Great walk around Hazrat Nizamuddin Basti

We took the walk around Hazrat Nizamuddin Basti with Salman. He was so knowledgable, and interesting with it - not just reeling off facts and figures which would go over our heads, but making the stories relatable, and memorable. The area can get very crowded and he looked out for us, including my kids, with care and attention. A really worthwhile afternoon

Pradeepa and Salman were amazing guides. They confidently and seamlessly navigated us through Old Delhi to a selection of excellent food, chaotic and bustling markets, and fascinating historical sites. They took the time to teach us about Delhi's history and answer our questions. A highlight was touring the kitchen of thr Sikh temple where thousands of meals are prepared daily by volunteers. As an expat here in Delhi, I will recommend these guys to all my friends and family who visit.

Amazing tour to see so many sides to Old Delhi
This tour was so amazing and personal. Salaman was our tour guide. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and very friendly. It was a fun and safe way to visit Old Delhi. There was so much to experience from the spice market, the rickshaw ride, the wedding market, the mosque, the tunnels underground, the back streets, the upper floors above the shops, and helping to make food at the Sikh and bringing inside the Sikh. Can’t say enough great things about this tour. It was a perfect way to end our stay in India. 1000% would recommend.

Fantastic insight into Old Delhi. Pradeeps local knowledge meant we got to experience some of the real city.
Brilliant, highly recommend this tour, well planned, insightful and varied itinerary. A must do in Delhi.
Pradeep was a friendly and welcoming guide, we felt really looked after. Without this tour we would have missed so much of what Old Delhi is really about.

We enjoyed an excellent afternoon tour in Old Delhi with Salman. He is a very kind guide who has a great knowledge about Delhi area. The visit with him was fascinating and we learned so much on the real life of people living or working in this crowded neighborhood.

The guide Salman was very friendly, informative and professional. He ensured that we got off to a great start with our holiday to India. Helped with understanding and trying the local foods and even using the metro. No complaints, happy with the food tour thank you.

My friend and I had the best time on the Old Delhi tour! Salman was so knowledgeable and completely tailored the tour to what we were interested in and really made the experience. I would recommend Delhi by Locals to anyone travelling to India and the work they do for the community is a massive bonus too!

Stop looking and book with Delhi by Locals!
I was travelling mostly on my own, so I did so much research prior to my visit to Delhi. I was the person reading reviews from years ago trying to figure out if they were real reviews or forced reviews. I wanted to feel safe as a female traveller. I booked this tour on my first day in delhi and of course I was still worried up until the moment i met my tour guide Salmon. He put me at ease with his welcoming demeanour and knowledge of all aspects of delhi culture and community. He navigated old delhi with ease and made me feel so safe. He met me at my hotel, helped me navigate the metro and prepared me for each part of the tour. The tour takes you to see all the highlights of old delhi but also goes to smaller places that I would never had seen on my own. We stopped for tea, took a tuk tuk, went into the temple and mosque. I really loved the contrast of the city that Salmon was able to show me on the tour- the hustle and bustle but also the quiet and peace. The tour ended with a breathtaking view from the top of a very tall building. As others have said, you will leave the tour with a true friend. I felt so happy with this tour that i booked two more- the Delhi by night tour and they arranged my sunrise Taj mahal tour, both were also to the highest standard! Pradeep, the guy who started the company made sure i was updated for each tour and he was easy to contact at anytime. I will end with saying that I was never pressured to write a review or tip- but enjoyed myself so much that I wanted to encourage others to go with this company! they do such great work in the community, I have so much respect for them! Thank you
