I had gone there for an event .It is a government building which has bright white exteriors and looks majestic .One needs permission from govt authorities to be able to enter .

This place holds attention of the history buffs to relive the momentous events of history . The public awards ceremonies over the years , The legends who had been associated with this great institution for life time . The legendary beautiful building stands being witness to the history . Located in a central place it is easy to reach by metro / public transport . The daily events here will hold your attention .

This is the best known venue for staging all important functions in New Delhi. For the last many decades this place has staged many conferences, international seminars and shows. The facilities are excellent.

Went there for an award ceremony. Majestic place with beautiful auditorium and foyer. Good light and acoustics. If you don't have your own vehicle, finding a cab may be a problem.

A very well planned complex for staging all important conferences in Delhi . The main Hall has seating capacity of over one thousand delegates . There are eight syndicate rooms with capacity varying from two hundred to three hundred . Translation facility for all international languages is available . Catering of all kinds of food with best standard is also there .

Attended a function where the President of India was to be chief guest. Hassle free security arrangement and they had a small cloakroom outside the venue. The plenary hall is HUGE and has all modern audio video facilities. The arrangement for food is also good and food is tasty, but can get very crowded during meals.

The place has beautiful infrastructure, constructed well with modern amenities and facilities, Architecture of the Vigyan bhawan is marvelously good, the security and vigilance is upto the mark. Auditorium is highly spacious and comfortable.

At the heart of the Nation's capital, this is Government's own convention center complex. Though it was built much after Lutyens' Delhi; post 1947, it blends into the British era architecture as well the Hindu & Mughal architecture. The main auditorium is quite large, it can hold about 1300 people. Access to this convention center is feasible only on the days there are events; unless you have an appointment to visit someone in the complex/annexe in one of those Government Departments. The event I went to attend in Vigyan Bhavan had the Prime Minister of India, Mr.Modi as the Chief Guest; hence the security restrictions and screening were high. Given that this complex is well over 60 years, it is being maintained very well. Great place to be, if you can access this place.
