What an amazing tribute, not really much else to say. The volunteer staff were beyond excellent and went above and beyond to answer questions and assist with finding memorabilia. Time spent visiting was well worth it. From a firefighter from the other side of the country thank you for what you have created.

This is a great memorial location within a local mall in Prescott to get details , history and information on what really happened that you don’t see in the movie “Only The Brave’
The staff is helpful and informative. However it’s only open limited hours on Friday - Sunday. If you have interest in the subject and event, you find out quickly that hiking to some of the spots related to the movie and event are not easy hikes.
The trip to the tree that became a centerpiece of their workouts is a minimum of a 45 minute trek from a hard to find parking lot that requires a high clearance AWD. Otherwise it’s close to a 3+ hour hike using the traditional trail. If visiting the true site and memorial park, ‘Granite Mtn Hotshot Memorial Park” that is a 4+ hour hike on a one way in / out trail. So for many visiting the area with limited time, this maybe the best options because the plaques posted along the trail are also shown here along with many of their items and memorials left by other hotshots.

This is not only a memorial to the Granite Mountain Hotshots who lost their lives on June 30, 2013 but to all firemen (tee shirts from many different hot shot teams and fire stations are displayed on the walls). There is a separate memorial for each of the 19 firefighters who died in the fire and a constantly changing memorial displaying various things that were left by mourners.

You can visit this center at the Gateway Shopping Center near the Dillards store in Prescott.

spend 2 hours there enjoying the wonderful exhibits and tribute...we live here and I have hiked the memorial trials etc. It was such a tragic but impactful event for Prescott and this Center adds a lot to the legacy of the 19...thank you for putting it together.

Awesome venue that tells the story of our "Fallen 19 Hotshots". Staff extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the events of the tragedy. Plan to do the trail to the memorial site this fall. Displays at the Tribute Center will change periodically to showcase the items left at the fence. The center will continue to evolve so it will continue to be a venue one could visit over and over.

The Granite Mountain Tribute Center is dedicated to the 19 Granite Mountain Hot Shots who lost their lives in the line of action fighting a wildfire near Yarnell in June of 2013. The Center displays 19 kiosks honoring each of the fallen, as well as maps and accounts of the fire, memorabilia, and a portion of the hundreds of t-shirts left by fellow firefighters from around the country during the memorial service. Knowledgable, helpful docents are on hand to answer questions. Located inside Gateway Mall, off Hwy 69. Open Friday–Sunday 11am–4pm.

The Granite Mountain Tribute Center does a great job of paying homage to the fallen 19 firefighters. There’s hundreds of pieces of memorabilia that lined the fences of the Hotshots’ station shortly after they perished. They don’t ask for a donation but I would encourage anyone to spare whatever you can afford to give to this organization.

19 Firefighters died. They battled the lethal Yarnell Hill fire. It is a tragedy that left its permanent mark and scars on the community ... then and now and maybe forever. The Interagency tribute center seeks to educate by way of the artifacts and memorabilia on display.

Having been in NYC after the 9/11 tragedy, we visited a church at ground-zero which dedicated itself to displays in tribute to all those who died. Bits and pieces and snippets were on display with so many honoring the memory of those who died.

Deja vue all over again ... here again were those touching, heart rending coming-together collections of firefighter shirts from God-knows-where but it certainly was from all-over everywhere ... and then the pictures of the 19 in happier times and then, and then, it just didn't stop coming (and the tears didn't either).

This is a beautifully and artfully presented monument that should, by all means, go on tour throughout the entire United States as a learning tool and educational opportunity.

My heart says "never again" but my mind says otherwise. I'd like to trust my heart.
