Make sure that you drive to both boat launch areas and walk around. The rock formations are spectacular. Access is easy. Unfortunately water is polluted-stay out

A group of older women reserved a time online for early morning, meriting a nice discount. Cody was there to get us setup with life vests and kayaks. The service was great! (And he's handsome!) A good demonstration for novices and help getting in and out of the kayak! Watson Lake is beautiful, surrounded by granite dells. Pretty and interesting formations, very relaxing and rowing is easy, well worth going and doing!

We spent 4 glorious nights in Prescott - We explored all 4 Lakes! Watson, Willow, Goldwater and Lynx….My favorite was Watson Lake right in the Granite Dell, huge bolders all around, like the Flintstones… Excellent area for viewing and walking, lots of picnic tables and cabana’s. But the actual geography is a sight to behold. Lynx Lake also fantastic, tree’s surround approx 3 mile walk, all around the Lake, great trail to walk, boating, lots of canoeing in both area’s and a birders paradise…..⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Definitely worth a visit if you’re in Prescott. It is a lovely area, and very pretty for photos. Plan on wearing sneakers or hiking shoes because there are lots of rocks that you can hurt your toes on if and sandals.

Enjoyed the views and a quick hike at Watson Lake Park. It a beautiful area with easy access from Prescott (approximately 5 miles).

Very close to town and a nice place to stretch the legs after a long drive. The rock formations are reminiscent of Joshua Tree - only with LOTS of water. When we visited, some of the trails were quite muddy and the water level was so high that portions of the trails were under water. Once the water recedes, it would be a lovely walk all the way around the lake. Worth the $3 entry fee.

This lake is so pretty with unique rock formations piercing the water. Several walking trail options and viewpoints. There is a fee for entering via car.

Hi, I do not kayak at Watson Lake. I have hiked around it. Also, there is less water than many years ago. It is probably best to contact the Prescott Visitor's Bureau.

Where do you enter to go in? Enter on Hwy 89
Is there a walk around the lake? There are plenty of paths around the whole park.

There is a boat ramp at the park to put kayaks in. We didn’t kayak but saw some people putting theirs in. The park is very small so you will find it quite easily.
