This butchers which is always been great since the lockdown has exceeded all expectations.
There is every sort of meat barbecue, stir fry, sausages and wonderful beef.home made pies and salads and so much else.
Which all is delicious.
Since the lockdown you can buy a selection of vegetables many from local places.
The bakery had to close so now he does bread.
It is so well organised he and his staff are all lovely and efficient and in these bleak times it is our highlight!!!!

This has been our regular butcher for a few years now and worth the 10-mile round trip every week. The quality of the food they sell is always first-class and the staff are obliging and friendly. In these difficult times they have excelled themselves in supplying all their customers with a varied and plentiful selection of meat, ham, pies and other provisions as well as an unbelievable selection of fruit, vegetables, salad and other groceries. We send over an order to Sarah-Jane or Mark each week and when we arrive to collect it is put in the back of the car for us. They also do deliveries. These good people are working 15-hour days, six days a week to make sure they offer their customers everything they need for a balanced and varied diet - we can't thank them enough.

Great butchers, all meats are excellent, love the local sausages and the staff are friendly. Highly recommended! Beats the supermarket anyday of the week.

I shop here weekly and love the selection and friendliness of all the staff. The meat is fantastic and their greengrocer selection also useful... year round excellent quality but hats off especially at Christmas when the team work over time to get everything ready.

I have been using this butcher for many years before the family moved to Theydon Bois. I love dealing with a friendly family business. Mark and his team give great service and serve the best quality produce mainly from local sources. Even if you are not local I would still contact as they can discuss home delivery in certain areas and will always do what they can to help. They also make their own pies one of which won a National award in 2018. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

I've been buying my meat from this butcher every week for the past year or so. Absolutely top notch quality meat and friendly, knowledgable staff make this shop a local gem. They offer an amazing range of award winning pies and I highly recommend their Epping Flyer sausage. Definitely worth a visit if you appreciate a quality cut of meat!

This butchers serves the best meat in the area. The staff are friendly and very helpful and always have a good morning smile on their faces. They also sell groceries such as eggs and fresh vegetables along with a range of sauces. They have a fabulous counter of fresh home cooked meat/chicken pies and a range of home cooked ham on and off the bone which is delicious. Once you've tried it you'll never go anywhere else so get yourselves down there.

If I think of the thousands of pounds I have spent on buying meat for my family over the years, I wish I had attended this class before now. From a demonstration of how to butcher a whole side of beef (where do all the cuts come from and why do they have different textures and tastes?) to being given a whole rib to butcher yourself as you choose. What an experience. And they do classes on pork, chicken and venison too. Strongly recommended. My mate John and I shared a really special evening learning all this...and you get to take your meat home - worth the price for that alone.

I thoroughly enjoyed this experience, which was a gift from my wife and sons and would recommend it. The atmosphere was relaxed and mark and Michael were very informative. Cutting, stuffing, rolling and tying my own cuts of meat to take home was really good. The quality of meat is also excellent so getting to take home half a lamb was a treat ! I also have just got a photo book through the post as a keepsake of the experience. It is something I would definitely like to do again.

An amazing evening with Mark & Michael showing us how to cut and present lamb that you would see in all good butcher shops. The participating in preparing your own cuts of meat with expert tuition is an experience that all keen cooks should enjoy. I would recommend this for budding chefs/cooks of all abilities and experience especially when you take home all the meat that you have prepared during the class.
