Sounds like you had a great time…and Scrummy Pig do have some unbelievably yummy chutneys, pickles and mustards….oh and did we mention the 100+ local beers!

Thank you Alan C for your review. You are quite right that Wroxham Barns is “great for kiddies”. We are not sure what you mean by “poor shops, hard to get around”….Jackie C (review below) describes them as “The crafts are beautiful and the owners of craft shops very pleasant”. For your, dear reader, essentially we have two courtyards and a converted dairy building which accommodate a selection of independently run studios and speciality shops. They all have ramp access but our buildings are old farm buildings, we are not a covered mall. I am pleased Ricky was helpful and hope that you enjoyed your visit.

In responding, we were trying to work out when you last visited us and figure it was at least six years ago when we did significantly expand Junior Farm, build a new speciality food shop (now called Scrummy Pig) and a coffee shop. Thank you for your positive comments about our craft shops. We are puzzled about your comments about Junior Farm and the admission price in so far as it seems harsh to give a view of something unless you have experienced it. For clarity, once you pay the admission price (£6.50) we do not charge you to bottle feed our lambs (at the time of writing now calves). Are we overpriced and money orientated….we hope not but we are of course in business to make a living fairly and honestly, to give a good service which our customers will enjoy. Our admission price to Junior Farm as increased by 75 pence since 2011, an annual increase of approx 1.5% per annum. Thankfully the vast majority of our customers leave happy. We are not complacent and we will never ignore a review which suggests we have made a mistake or let a customer down. I don’t think that Jackie C is suggesting that.

Once again we have a review where the “headline” does not really reflect the experience. We are grateful that Christine H has taken the trouble to review. Understandably Junior Farm was not for them, that is the benefit of our set-up…..you do not pay for what you don’t want. There are 11 studios and specialist shops; as per our response to the last review, we don’t think we are “expensive” if that means overpriced. We do have some high value items, of course, but We have a price promise where we will always pricematch against an identical product in a similar setting (eg not online) and will always alter prices if you tell us we are out of step. We are very pleased that you enjoyed the tea and scones which we think are fairly priced and are pleased that you thought our staff are friendly….we are agreed on that point.
