Nice layout but greens in terrible shape. It will take a lot of work for them to recover. We originally planned to play both courses but cancelled the second day to go elsewhere. The staff is somewhat aloof.

2 courses. Great layout with views of Stone Mountain from the back nine of the course we played. The greens were very bad and need to be replaced.

Play both sides the mountain side was ok but the water side was a lot more nice looking Greens we’re manicured nicely but unbelievable slow two days and couldn’t judge the greens tee boxes were ok needs work slow pace of play but playing with views of mountain were nice 3 star is all I give it for the price !

I have been a member at Stone Mountain for several years and have never been more pleased than I am now. Courses are in great shape and lots of nice people working there. Lakemont is a beautiful course, it is a bit shorter and quirkier than Stonemont and probably the best choice for a visitor or average golfer. The views of the mountain over the lake are spectacular. Stonemont is a longer and more challenging course with narrow fairways and tough greens. It is great to have a choice. Highly recommended!

There are actually two separate courses here, the original which opened in the 60s and a second that opened in the 80s I believe. Full driving rang. Greens on both courses are well kept. I recommend the original course over the newer one,but both are challenging.

Played both courses with additional 12 holes per course in the afternoon. Loved the Lakemont views and the Stonemont fairways. 4.5 hr round in Lakemont with 3 hr two ball on Stonemont. Greens need some attention but true and a pleasure to play.

Okay, bring balls. At least five or six. I mean extra balls compared to what you would normally lose. I shoot in the load 90s on a regular basis, however, not being familiar with the golf course I lost eight balls. Yep, 8. It is a wonderful golf course with nice views. The greens are not the best shape, however it seems to be mostly from hi use during season. I really enjoyed playing this course with my brothers. Have fun

Decided one night to venture outside the main Evergreen Marriott property for dinner one night.
Pretty views. Pretty venue. Nice sunset.
Food was ok. Service was good.
First time I had ever seen chicken fried ribs on a menu. Wow.
Fried green tomatoes were good.
Pork chop was good. Very good.
Tried a chicken fried rib - it was...interesting.
Fried chicken entree looked good but portion was small - only 1 piece.
Shrimp and grits looked ‘soupy’.
Overall grade = C+; maybe B-

Played the Stonemont course and it was in great shape but very undulated and challenging. Greens slow and a tough read.
Lunch at The Commons was awesome...pimento cheese sandwich and home made warm kettle chips, pineapple beer, yum!

So me and the Misses went to Stone Mountain Park. I had never been but the Misses had years ago. A lot had changed according to her.
This was a great place to visit for a few nights. There is plenty to do and for those young couples with kiddos, yep there's more than enough to keep them busy!
There is a light show at night on the mall looking at the mountain carving, a nice train ride for all ages and an entire little village of shops and attractions to enjoy!
One place that was extraordinarily good was the historic homes village. It has several early 1900 and some 1800 vintage homes you can tour. It even comes with a barn full of live animals.
When it comes to lunch, you may want to hop on over to the Stone Mountain Golf Course and check out the pimento sandwich in the Commons Restaurant. And if your real lucky, you'll get the friendliest server on staff by far. That would be Mrs. Beth Green! Folks she a winner. If you do catch her there, tell her ol' Bullfrog (the Kennedys) said hi!
Don't miss out on that laser light show. It's only on weekends after school starts so you might want to call for exact dates!
Bring a chair or a blanket if your not reserving one of the deck seating options!
