Perfect to show visitors who like abstract sculpture and painting. Set in a former African-American church that moved to larger quarters. Its history form a small part of the exhibits. Colorful lights in architecture. World famous minimum artist who was very innovative. Great on a rainy day.

Great spot to visit while in Bridgehampton. Nice building which in its past was a fire house and a church. Go see the magical Dan Flavin pièces installed upstairs. All great 60’s stuff. Downstairs there are surprising smaller exhibitions which are often delightful. ( Sonnier, Heilmann etc...)

Everyone should visit the Dan Flavin Art Institute in Bridgehampton! It is absolutely gorgeous. On a quiet side street in Bridgehampton - don't miss it!

The Dan Flavin Art Institute is an outpost of Dia Beacon where Dan Flavin's colored neon lights are a permanent exhibition. Additional roving exhibits are a constant surprise and intense learning experience. If you care about what's up in the art world this is a secret peephole. I've never been disappointed with a visit.

Most of the neon and flourescent tube pieces could be churned out by any DIYer. There is nothing artistic about what's shown. At least it's free!

Very specialized little museum in what was an old church. Won't appeal to everyone, but if you know what minimal art is and like it, you will love this.

a fantastic dia branch museum in downtown bridgehampton that is a must see for any visitor. the bldg is an old fire station that was latter converted into an african american church. upstairs you will find dan flavin's light sculptures and downstairs a rotating gallery of dia stable artists and more. best of all it's free!
