This is a one of a kind. Places. Great for nostalgia buffs or people who like me to press buttons. A terrific collection of elevator parts that do work and from an era when the city was full of manned elevators. Loved the place and it is just different than any other museun

My family and I visited the Elevator museum while touring NYC recently and were honored to have the founder, Patrick Carr, give us a tour. The museum is a wonderful collection of elevator parts and memorabilia from the golden ages of elevators. He has carefully and lovingly arranged most of the items to actually function and many aspects are hands-on, meaning you can actually push the buttons and experience the feel of these classic pieces.
Mr. Carr clearly has a passion for elevators and has been working in the field since he was a child. He has done an amazing job saving these pieces from the scrapyard and displaying them in a way that brings them back to life. Make a point to stop in and see this wonderful exhibit.
