Lovely walk around the lake

Lovely hour walk around the lake on Easter Sunday. Lot's of families and dogs enjoying the sunshine and the wildlife. Near to the car park end we saw lots of swans and ducks and there was ample space to picnic on the green. There is a kiosk which sold ice creams and opposite on the other side of the road more kiosks selling milk shakes, snacks and refreshments.

Great walk been coming for years and will for years to come x

Regularly walk the dog here. Sometimes busy but always plenty of space. Sometimes and ice cream can and now a milk / coffee shed opposite. Toilets & places to sit. Ducks to feed for little ones and dens and trails for them to follow. 1 mile round if you follow the tarmac path so a nice short walk. You can go off on the many Forrest paths if you want to make the walk longer. Plenty of parking. Lovely place x

Really nice tranquil walk

Considering we came at weekend, and its popularity i expected it to be busy. It was really nice to walk round, not to taxing and done under a hour.. The ice cream van was an added bonus.

Beautiful walk, we did the loop around the lake and then went around again via the woodland. Lovely to see families out enjoying the fresh air, although the woodlands are worth wondering through. If you want peace, the woodlands are far more quiet thank the path around the l9ake.

Worst walk ever

Way too busy for a lockdown, not a place to go if you want a quiet walk. Most dogs are off the lead which can be frustrating and no place to park aka car park was full.

Thank goodness for this beautiful open space. A lovely place to social distance meet up with friends or just a solo walk through the woods and around the lake. Very popular on sunny days for just these reasons. Most people adhere to safety advice. There are the occasional family that seem to ignore distancing rules but I guess it’s easy to forget when surrounded by nature. Perfect for dog walking. Most owners, probably 99% are responsible and their dogs well behaved.

Good place to have a walk to lake is pretty and the trail is easy for kids. Good to get under the trees and keep out of the heat of the day. Our son likes the art work too.

Lovely place to walk dogs.

Great place to exercise your dog, large and enclosed. The circular path is solid so also ideal for buggies etc.
Lots of woods to explore and open fields to use.
Car Park charges.
Complete lack of picnic tables but there are benches dotted around if you're not too fit.

Been coming here off and on over the years lovely place to walk and go fishing but. SOME DOG WALKER'S. spoil the fishing letting there dogs off the lead and getting tangled in the line as some owners are not bothered until something happens to there dog apart from that a thumbs up

Relaxing circular walk

You can walk all round the lake on the flat without getting too muddy. The only problem is the parking costs, which forces some people to park down the lane.
