A one-off visit by chance, which proved to be the making of the stay. No tv, no music, no food, just good honest beers, and excellent range of bottled beers, four of the five handpumps in operation (which for December is good going). Friendly, warm, comfortable and well worth looking for. I had the Squawk Brewery’s Aix Porter, which put up no resistance whatsoever, if I hadn’t been driving the next day, I could have happily had more.

A great little place, such friendly staff, rang ahead to see if they did takeaway bags, we tried porter and a golden ale (moonshine), brought in 4pt bags with taps and they travelled back well to macclesfield, will definitely be returning soon x

I was up in Sandbach visiting family for Christmas and had a few beers in the Beer Emporium on the 23rd December 2019.
What a lovely friendly place, great selection of bottled beers from all over the world.
Also a good selection of spirits for none beer drinkers too.
Lovely atmosphere and great staff.
Will definitely be calling in again when I’m up in Sandbach visiting my family.

Spoilt for choice

Small, intimate with a superb range of beers. Only problem is parking. Sandbach is a small country town with an enormous number of car owners. Avoid Thursdays - market day.

A place that has become a second home! A relaxed atmosphere that allows people to talk to each other, even those you have never met before, which has resulted in making new friends and acquaintances.
There are beers, lagers and ciders for all, with the extension of wine, Prosecco and gin for the ladies if they prefer.
Friendly bar staff who are able to help when trying Tomsk those decisions on what to drink, or takes your fancy!😃

Quite a novel idea that I'd like to see take off in the South

This is a great idea. Essentially a well stocked off licence where you can drink on the premises.

It's a great little room that gets packed quite quickly. You can get beers off the pump, or choose from a large selection of bottled beer from the shelves opposite the bar. The staff seem to know their stuff, so you can ask about the beers before you buy.

I'm a bit of a fan of the darker ales, so I recommend the Dark Magic (if it's on the pump) or if you go for a bottle, try the brilliantly named Janet's Treat Porter, The York Chocolate Stout or the Cheshire Porter.
