First of all, I have gone here many times. Love the beer and love the food downstairs. Problem is we went on a Friday for their pizza upstairs. Was underwhelmed. Though the crust was decent, they really need to up their game in making a great artisan pizza. It just tasted like a mediocre mall pizza. Also to try to liven it up, I asked for some Parmesan cheese and dried hot peppers. The looked at me like I had two heads. The had none, no apologies, just blank stares. Pathetic when you are serving pizza. Hopefully, Troegs is reading these reviews and they make their pizza service as good as their other food and beverages.

My wife dropped me off here before heading to the outlets. This was my third try at attempting to patronize this facility, as it was always so full I turned around and left. It was borderline this day as well, but I managed to find a seat outside until it emptied out just a tiny bit. Amazed how full this place stays all day long. Beer is amazing, self-guided tour is cute, gift shop is huge, and food was really good. Stayed about 3 to 4 hours, and was glad I had a designated driver by the time I left. Would highly recommend, but be prepared it will be crowded.

Walked in and stood there. No hostess desk or signs to direct patrons to have a seat. After being ignore by staff buzzing by, we went to the food line and asked if we need to wait to be seated. Told no just find a table and a bartender will take care of you. Waited about 10 minutes before noticed. He wanted to take our drink order only and told he doesn't deal with the food. If we want food, then just go to the food side. I ordered a coke but given diet coke, husband had the Octoberfest which was really good. We never saw him again to get a real coke. We went to the food line and ordered an app which was just okay. Still no "bartender" but we found another person and we paid our check and left. If you like a beer you can go to their gift shop to purchase.

We did the brewery tour. It was two minutes before tour was to begin and they ask you to get there at least 15 minutes ahead of time. Well four of us were there on time, but a group of six showed up and we waited! The tour guide, Art catered to this late group of six the entire tour! He even would stand away from us or in front of us as if we were not important. There is a lot of noise so at times it was hard to hear Art, the tour guide, he could’ve actually could worn a microphone or something. The samples were good and I had to remind tour guide we got a pint glass, he forgot! The place is beautiful and very popular! I heard the food and flights are outstanding.

One of our favorite places to go when in Hershey. Besides enjoying their beer, they have excellent food. If you are not sure which beer to have just get a flight and try a few. Still not sure, ask the bartenders they are very versed on the beer. They will steer you in the right direction.

The tour was really good- considering the price and getting beer at the beginning and end- well worth it. The beer is excellent- nice selection- the food is absolutely amazing. We have the stuffed squash, pear hand pie, grilled cheese and tomato soup, fries, pretzel (best pretzel I’ve ever had). I’ll go back when I’m back in the area for sure. Don’t miss it!!

We went to the Troeg Brewery to take the tour while in the area. It was a very good tour...the tour guide was friendly and informative. Loved the pre-tour beer and the tastings during the tour. Very good experience. We would definitely go back again when in the area.

I understand that you need to be 21 years of age for the guided tour. Does that mean that you can not have an infant harnessed to you on the tour?

Not sure if you can take an infant on the tour due to the equipment. There is a self-guided tour that you can do and take the baby in with you. Please note you must wear closed toe shoes.
I'm planning a visit and would like to know how to make arrangements for the Guided Tasting Tour? Is there a charge? What if you don't drink?

Yes there is a charge book online ahead of time. There is also a free tour but i would recommend doing the other one and you get a glass at the end. If you don't drink they have other beverages & the food is always fresh and delicious. :)

Hello and thanks for writing! Yes, children are permitted in the brewery with parents. They are also permitted on the self-guided tour path. we have a kids menu in our Snack Bar, which you can review at our web site. However, you must be 21 or older to take our Guided Tasting Tour of the brewery. Thanks for your interest in Troegs. I hope you enjoy your visit to the brewery. Cheers!
