Streedagh is gorgeous. The seemingly endless sandy beach is perfect for a walk, and if you fancy a dip in the bracing Atlantic, this is a really safe place to enjoy the water. Highly recommended.

We had the beach to ourselves. The tide was out, we walked a mile or some along the shoreline before returning to Grange village. I’d like to see this inlet when the tide is in, as that would present a totally different view.

Beautiful long beach, took me back to my childhood. Lots of surfers there, over the years the dunes have reduced insize but still beautiful. Fantastic veiws of Benbulbin and the Donegal mountains across the bay. Such a relaxting place

Forget the beach, Ireland has hundreds. The rocky headland at the southern end is completely covered in fossils. They're mostly prehistoric coral, so it's not Jurassic Park, but still, so many fossils just a few miles from Sligo Town, it's a unique and interesting place

A beach with a history but not much else. A Spanish gal lion was sunk off the shores here but has been left to rest without the usual commercialisation. The views are great but not a place to go picnicking or sun bathing. Little else to say about this beach, having been and seen I wouldn’t go again.
