We had such a fun stop at Atlantic Sheepdogs as part of our Vagabond tour. The owner was so friendly and patiently answered all sorts of questions. The best part was that when he brought out one his younger dogs to demonstrate the art of sheep herding. The dog was loving his job and you could tell how naturally it came to him. The bond between man and dog was a beautiful thing to behold. It was also fun to see a selection of rare sheep up close and personal.
Didn’t think petting a sheep would top my list on that vacation - but it there it is! Loved this stop and really appreciate the work that’s being done to educate the public on what sheep dogs do!

We had the pleasure of attending the sheepdog demonstration by Martin and his exceptional border collie, Mist, at Atlantic Sheepdogs, and were absolutely blown away! From start to finish, it was clear that Mist is not just a well-trained dog, but a key asset to any sheep farmer. Watching Mist respond to Martin’s commands with such precision and agility was truly mesmerizing. Whether guiding the sheep through tight spaces or calmly corralling them, Mist showcased the intelligence and dedication that make border collies such invaluable working dogs.
Martin’s expertise and calm handling allowed Mist to shine, and it was inspiring to see how seamlessly man and dog worked together. The demonstration was not only entertaining but also educational, highlighting how a well-trained dog can save farmers time and effort while ensuring the smooth running of their operation.

Visiting my aunt in Streedagh she had made arrangements for us to see Martin and his wonderful dog, Ben, in action. It was such a great experience and taught us so much - a really wonderful, uplifting experience and such amazing team work.

My wife and I had the opportunity to visit Atlantic Sheepdogs earlier this month while on a tour of Ireland with Mark Doherty and Connect The Dots. What an amazing experience it was to see how Martin had trained Mist, the youngest member of his crew, to work the sheep heard with whistles and voice commands, and how much fun Mist had doing it. From someone who has a hard time getting their dog to sit, seeing the collaborative bond between Martin and Mist was something I'll be talking about for a long time.

This is a must-see and must-do while in Cork, Ireland. We were delighted by Gate 1 travel to visit the Atlantic Sheepdogs and expert training of Border Collies, specifically trained to herd sheep and many sheep. Martin Feeney was an outstanding teacher of his farm, and his sheep, and demonstrated the training of one of his dogs Mist through various whistles, and voice commands. Outstanding demonstrations!

This was an excellent presentation by the farmer/shepherd and the dog! He was so informative and funny. the dog was brilliant! We also learned a bit about farming in Ireland and the history. Fun for the whole family!

Just back from a trip to Ireland which included a visit to Atlantic Sheepdogs for a fabulous demonstration by Martin. He has an amazing setup there and Martin is so professional and welcoming. Not only was it an uplifting experience, I learned so much just from that one visit. I would highly recommend a visit!

A sunny day, amazing scenery and Atlantic Sheepdogs. What more could you want?
The show, the farm and the host family were simply excellent and charming. An absolute must-see event if you are in Sligo.

I agree, contact them directly. We were a small group of family members with two children aged 6. They loved it (as did we). When we were there in June, they were doing demonstrations twice a week. Again, contact them directly.
