We took two expeditions with Wild Expeditions. Both were incredible. We did the Sunset over the Valley of the Gods. Today we took a Solaris up the Arch Canyon to explore the cliff dwellings of the Anasazi. Both excursions were amazing. Our guide, Lane Palmer, was incredible. Very knowledgeable and very competent in all aspects of the tour. Highly recommend.

Our float trip down the San Juan with Marley (our guide) was utterly amazing. We were intent on seeing the unforgettable pictograph panel in Lower Butler Wash but did not have a vehicle that could handle the road and were not up for the long hike over sand with numerous water crossings. Wild Expeditions had been highly recommended by hikers I met in the Grand Canyon. We planned a guided kayak trip but with Wild Expedition's (Brock's) advice, changed to a float trip in a 12 foot raft as the San Juan was at nearly ten times its usual flow because of a recent storm. Marley expertly guided the raft down river and shared his abundant knowledge of the area's geology and archaeology. We met Brock for lunch at the pull out and he showed us River House and other sites. Marley, who lives in the area, also recommended great places to visit, such as Goosenecks State Park, Valley of the Gods and the Edge of the Cedars State Park Museum in Blanding, which we would have missed. The trip was entertaining and enlightening. We’re forever grateful to Marley and Brock for this memorable experience.

We had a great time in the kayak and visiting the archeological sites was well worth it. The guides were knowledgeable and friendly

This is an outstanding outfitter with seasoned and knowledgeable guides who know archeology, the terrain and history, plus keeping you safe and entertained! We did several days with them. One on San Juan river which is gorgeous on kayaks and one exploring ancient cliff dwellings in Bears Ears. If you have a chance do it! They are located right at the beautiful resort called Bluff Dwellings, a native enclave in the rocks!

My wife and I took two tours with this company. We did the "Introduction to Bears Ears" and the "Valley of the Gods Sunset Tour". Our guide for both tours was Carlie, who was exceptional and knowledgeable. We would definitely recommend Wild Expeditions and Carlie for any Bears Ears touring.

We did the 4 by 4 van of Bear Ears national park which was beautiful, we got out and did a few hikes which were moderate but you did have to if you didn't want to, you could just take photos outside the van .That same night we did the Valley of the God's sunset tour and after begging we went out in the hummer, so much better. This tour is a must do if you're in Bluff, Utah I actually liked it more than Monument Valley. Our guides (I think the names are correct) were Levi and Hannah were great. We got out of the hummer various times, it was breath takingly beautiful and the hummer was tons better than sitting in an air conditioned van, you could really experience the beauty of the place. Again I want to thank our wonderful guides we had a lovey day.

Had a great Bear Ears tour with Eli. He was very informative and went into the outback to Arch Canyon and we were the only ones there. Great trip.

My wife and I went on a 3 day river expedition and had a fantastic time!! The 3 trip leaders (Wes, Levi and Kari) were exceptionally knowledgeable in the terrain and area history. The food was excellent and they managed the dietary needs of a vegan and gluten free guest without any concerns. It was impressive to see the three guides working so cohesively on the river and for setting up camps. Seeing the petroglyphs was absolutely incredible and we learned an incredible amount about the areas history. We rented the company tents, pad and sleeping bags - we were pleasantly surprised how clean and new the gear looked. Highly recommend for any age (we had very young kids in our group, and we are both older and retired).

Such a great trip. Floated the San Juan through Bears Ears and learned about the history of the native people, experienced their culture, and visited some of their sacred sites. Worth it!

Fantastic seven-day San Juan River trip with Wild Expeditions in mid-May 2024. If you can do the full seven days – go for it! It provides time for lots of sides trips to Ancestral Puebloan sites (ruins, petroglyphs and pictographs), hikes to some of the many beautiful side canyons or to the canyon rim for amazing views. And the chance to really get into the slowly flowing pace of river time. Our guides were outstanding and organized. Wes led the trip and paced it perfectly, knew the river extremely well, loved sharing knowledge about the archeology and river. Kayleb, Brock and Ashlynn rounded out the guide team and each was fun, full of positive energy, and clearly enjoyed guiding and helping us have a great experience. The food was plentiful and good (will remember Kayleb’s baked cobblers!). The rafts and duckies (inflatable kayaks) floated us in style. A few minor glitches (e.g., the vegetarian options we had requested were not always available and front desk did not always provide accurate trip information). Hope to do a trip with them again and definitely recommend them!

I left you a message on Saturday and I haven't heard back from you. I will be in Bluff in about two weeks, and I want to know whether the water level is high enough to do your one day trip by paddle and not the motorboat.

The river water level was down, but we saw unmotorized rafts all along the way. When we were there at the first of June, I think it would have been doable. We possibly got the motorized raft because the day trip had a schedule to keep. 8-5.
There are fabulous ruins and petroglyphs to see. Blue herons, bighorn sheep, magnificent geology. Be prepared to urinate in the river or a bucket....ecological reasons for so doing that will be explained by the guide. Enjoy it. BTW, we weren’t significantly bothered by bugs. But take sunscreen. Also, they can’t advertise, but you can take alcohol if you want.
