This tour was recommended to us by two separate friends and it did not disappoint.
We rode over the plantation property learning about sustainable agriculture and stopped for a rum tasting and fresh juice mai tai at a covered deck deep in tropical planted forest. We learned about rum, too, So much fun with our tour guides who were knowledgeable and fun.

Tanji and Fletcher are amazing. They made our tour so much fun on top of the amazing facts and cocktails. One of our favorite activities in the island. Highly recommend.

It was a wonderful experience and the tour guides were very personable and knowledgeable of the history and area. They poked fun at us for being from North Dakota and we all had a good laugh. My husband enjoyed talking to them about farming here vs ND. The farm to table drinks were amazing and the food at happy hour was good as well. My husband loved the chips on the tour. We had a very good time and it was worth it.

Incredibly fun tour by Tiny and Rick. Great tag team hosts that led a surprisingly informative and entertaining tour. The drinks were amazing, they kept the mood light and fun, and the property was gorgeous and special to see. Honestly way better than I expected and would highly recommend for adults with a good sense of humor. Definitely will be on our list of must do things for our friends visiting Kauai.

Such a fun trip. The drinks were good. The jokes were cheesy. The staff is incredible. Highly recommend if you enjoy quality craft cocktails and dad jokes. Kai and Tiny are amazing and so is the rum.

Must do if you are visiting Kauai. This 2 hour tour is full of fun and fresh Mai Tais. Nick and Fletcher were great tour guides. They took us all over the plantation where we saw lots of animals and had private rum tasting and Mai Tai sessions. They were very nice to accommodate people who didn't drink alcohol and got fresh juice for them. Overall highly recommend as a relaxed activity in Kauai

The guides were so much fun! This is a must do when you visit the island! To start out at the plantation and go deep into the jungle to drink rum, then visit all the wild pigs and animals, you get to do it all!!

We booked the rum tour last minute based on a conversation we had with some locals at a brewery. I can't tell you how glad we are that we followed their advice. The two hour tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and a complete surprise to us. We have been to the island multiple times and never even set foot on the plantation grounds so this was all new for us. Our guides Tiny and Rick were an absolute blast, and we're one of the main reasons this was such a fun tour. They take you in a covered open Safari vehicle through the plantation grounds ending up down in the jungle in a beautiful area where you will have your first set of cocktails and shots of rum. After taking some awesome photos, you will then head to the next spot, which is also gorgeous for another custom cocktail and more run. You will not leave this tour feeling like you didn't get your money's worth. The cocktails were out of this world, but the whole experience provided us with a very great memory. This is an adults only tour so no kids. However, there is a train ride on the grounds. If you have kids stick them on the train and have the adults just do the rum tour. HA HA
I also highly recommend booking lunch or dinner depending on what time you do the tour at the plantation restaurant at Gaylord's. You will absolutely be thrilled you did. Best food we had on the island.

This is a great way to spend a few afternoon hours. Basically, you get on a motorized tram to see a working local farm. The produce supplies the restaurant on site and not much else. Our guides showed many of the various fruits and picked some to make cocktails or mocktails. There were some penned in animals to see like the tortilla eating pigs. And there were 2 stops. The first stop was a rum tasting followed by a Mai Tai. At the second stop, an exotic rum drink was served. This is probably not for kids. It is a cocktail party on wheels. While the Koloa rum is produced locally, the sugar cane is not. After the tour, we had a great lunch at the Plantation House. Recommend.
