The show was incredible the story was captivating and the music was fantastic it felt like you were growing up with the characters as you watched. It was truly inspirational and gave a whole other meaning to the word “life” I wanted to watch it over and over after it was finished but there’s nothing like seeing it for the first time. You could feel the emotion and life illuminating of the stage. If your in the area you have to go and watch for yourself no review could ever do it justice

The show opened by flashing a high intensity strobe light for no apparent reason with no warning for those with photosensitive epilepsy. This is EXTREMELY dangerous for affected members of the audience. There is legal precedent for assault convictions for causing a seizure in somebody this way, so this could easily be seen as criminal negligence towards the audience.
Even if this weren’t the case, though, it still would have been a negative experience. The audio mix was the worst I have ever encountered in a theater. The instruments that were mic’ed were excessively loud compared to the vocals, and there was little to no frequency separation so everything just kind of sounded indistinguishable and muddy. There was also way too much reverb on certain elements.
On the plus side, the choreography was impressive, and it didn’t really have the objectionable racist elements of the daytime “entertainment.”

I spent a lot of time trying to find the right luau for our first and probably only trip to Hawaii. After tons of research, I was happy to find I could get it attached to my visit to the Polynesian Center, along with a dinner.
I don't have good enough words to explain how impressive this show is. A luau, to my understanding, is a show that tells a story, and many of them involve music and fire. Of the ones on offer at Oahu, most of them are "modernized" whereas this one is pretty hardcore traditional. And amazing. There's modern execution but it's all traditional things going on. The fire part at the end had several of my familys' mouths hanging open...it's just stunning.
I loved being able to go and talk with the performers after, most of whom are students at the local college. Highly recommend!

Incredible production. WOW! So beautiful! Hit my heart so hard. Very very well done. Beautiful story line. The musicians were live and were all crazy talented. Top notch performance. Highly recommend!

This show far exceeded anything we thought it would be. Absolutely incredible show. Loved following along a boy's life through different cultures. Touching story with deep family meaning and outstanding performers!! You really don't want to miss this if possible

this may well have been the highlight of our few days in a transit visit through Honolulu. This is really well done. Having visited the various Polynesian villages earlier in the day helped our appreciation for what was contained in the show. This definitely didn't disappoint

We watched Ha’ The Breath of Life, too! Was an awesome show! I’m reading in the phamplet that was given to us upon entry. It lists many cast members! The preformers change on a nightly basis. It lists names of 5-6 different preformers for each of the cast. Most are students from the University. Hard to tell what night you were watching and exactly who was the actor for that night.

As stated by others, all the seats are fine. The meal is an interesting addition, but not necessary.

How important is seating? Debating the worth of buying a more expensive ticket to get ambassador seating or not? And also, which dinner venue is better, the luau or regular buffet?

We sat in the upper section middle. It was great as far as seeing the show. Would just not choose the side seating. We only booked the day before we went. We only went to the luau. The food was very good. Make sure to eat the roast pig with the poi. Otherwise, pork is too salty & poi is too bland.
