Kevin the rat was a joy we all adores him and a lovely staff member telling us about rats and about Kevin, I loved the alpacas so funny , adores the flamingo and friends. The emu were my favourite loved being able to walk right beside them it was fantastic.Only thing I did not like was the dog tied on the rope looking very sad ,well looked after food water but just looked sad

A fantastic experience! Beautiful setting, well looked after animals and hard working staff.
Molly did my daughter's otter experience and she was extremely personable and her knowledge on the otters and rest of the park animals was outstanding.
This is a charity, working on the conservation of a rare lineage of Scottish wildcats and needs all the support they can get!
A highly recommended day out, I only wished we'd booked to stay overnight!

I spent one night camping at Auchingarrich Wildlife Park with my family and we hired one of their bell tents as a treat.
This place is just amazing. The staff are so attentive and knowledgeable, and go out of their way to make you feel at home and catered for.
Being able to access the wildlife park, play park, and play barn after public opening hours is such a great experience - especially when camping with kids.
We also really enjoyed the company of Benny, the parks resident collie, who decided to come chill with us for a couple of hours in the late evening.
Make sure you make a point of looking up and taking in the night sky if the evening is clear - the amount of stars is absolutely stunning. We were lucky enough to catch a glimpse of not one but SIX shooting stars!
The onsite cafe is a bonus too - getting a hot cooked breakfast roll and a cup of tea after a night of camping was just the icing on the cake.
Driving out of the carpark and the kids (and myself!!) were already asking when we would be going back... Definitely sooner rather than later I think!!!

A year ago I came with the family camping here when the campsite was new and had an amazing time, with just a handful of campers the very limited facilities were more than enough and the whole thing was so peaceful, exactly what you expect from something billed as wild camping.
This year, however, word has clearly got out and the camping was absolutely mobbed.
I can't bemoan a place becoming more popular, but the issue with this is that with no marked out pitches or parking, a single composting toilet and no limits on arrival times or noise staying here has turned into a pretty miserable experience because of the number of people, cars and tents squashed into far too small an area.
The park needs to either turn itself into a proper campsite with adequate facilities, or severly limit the number of bookings. Until it does, i would avoid staying overnight here.

We had a wonderful time, found this little gem on pitchup and for what we want it was amazing, and we will be returning as much as we can. Proper camping back to basics the way it should be, as natural as possible and keeping in line with the beauty of the land. There's more to come from this little gem and we are happy to support it's natural growth as much as possible. Well done guys keep up all that hard work.

This place is amazing! Found it by chance thanks to the hairy highland coo trail and was not disappointed! The tractor ride was great and the man doing it was so knowledgeable (we did wish we had went at a quieter time though as struggled to hear him). The staff were fantastic and it made a change to see people who enjoy their jobs. You could also tell the animals loved their keepers which speaks volumes! We done the lamb and donkey trekking and it was fantastic. Will definitely be back. Well done team, you are doing fantastic!

We booked this last minute to stay in the bell tent for the night , what a brilliant idea that was ! The place is absolutely beautiful with the best staff around , we got to wake up in the morning to the beautiful views then head down to the park to see the animals that were awake , this in itself was an amazing experience as we were literally the only ones on the park until we met the owner who was lovely , she took her time to speak to us about some of the animals before opening the cafe . Great selection of animals which you can tell are cared for very well ! Big enclosures for the animals also. Staff are all very friendly , checking in is easy and straight forward . The petting barn was great , sure some of the negative reviews aren’t realistic and a true picture of what goes on, my kids got to hold a snake, rat , baby chick , guinea pig and there was lamas in the barn, the dogs who go around the park are lovely and you can just tell the love all the cuddles and attention they get . We are actually sad to be home again and can’t wait to return for a two night stay. Thanks to all the staff for making this such an enjoyable visit for us ! Even the walks around the park are stunning , crazy football the kids enjoyed . I’m trying to fit everything I loved into this review but it’s so hard because it was all 10/10 ! These are just the main bits . Thanks again

Fun day out for the mud run and wildlife park combined... really good fun mud run. We all had such a great time. Best views from a playpark EVER! Animals very lovely to see. Staff all friendly, helpful and available. Really nice cafe food. Yummy cheesy hash browns, and lovely fresh sandwiches. Playpark was great, such a great variety of equipment. The soft play is small and really only for young children, I imagine gets very busy on a wet day, but serves a purpose and the kids had fun. he animal petting zone was great.
Negatives - some of the park is looking very tired and in need of a spruce up, but didnt effect our day at all. Need a hose down after the mud run.... we were advised to jump in the pond which was 'set up for cold water swimming?' It was a large VERY deep, VERY quicky pond full of tadpoles etc.... We were covered in washing up liquid, not sure how good this is for the wildlife in the pond? A better advertised hose pipe would be better and safer for families, as just too dangerous to take kids near the pond. The lady in the petting zone was very busy, looking quite stressed, rushing between each animals and family. Needed another member of staff really just for her and the families waiting. These negatives are purely constructive, not anything terrible, we will be back for more fun soon and a camp!
Thank you so much.

Used a promotional voucher from voucher planet. It was a good deal at £29.00 for camping (wild ish - no showers) and entry to the park for two days. We used to go to Auchingarrich quite often but first time since new owners took over. The flamingoes are a great addition and soft play equipment was lovely and clean. We were a little sad that the petting barn/hatchery isn’t the same it used to have a great buzz and kids loved it. Now just a couple of small furries in cages. Animal feed is also much more expensive than it used to be and comparable venues. We didn’t do the tractor ride as felt £20.00 total for 4 of us was a bit much and again at other parks this is much less or included in ticket. Think there is work going on so I’m sure management have plans to develop the park. Would be great to add couple of pedal go carts to ride on tractors or create another area for bigger kids. A wee washing up area and some showers would also help make more of the camping. The park is in such a beautiful location it has great potential and all the staff we met were so friendly and helpful - thank you :-)

We went as I’d been given an otter experience as a gift and it was a great day out. We paid extra for the tractor tour around the park which was a brilliant way to hear about the animals before we walked round a d something different to do, The otter experience was amazing to be so close and feed these beautiful sisters, molly the keeper was so knowledgeable about them. I loved it, we then bought some food want walked round feeding the goats, donkeys, sheep and lamas and getting a pet with all of them and many more (snakes, chicks, guinea pigs) It was brilliant to get so close to so many animals and they all looked so happy with lots of room and attention. It’s maybe not the biggest wildlife park we have been too but it’s one of the best because of how close you can get to them and to just appreciate them. Well done to all the team looking after them and their customers. We will be back

There is access by wheelchair to the central area, hatchery, playbarns, cafe and main shop and staff will inform you of the best route to take to avoid any larger slopes. The ground is part tarmac, bark and gravel and does have gradual slopes in places. I'm afraid we have never had car access/guided tours as stated in another reply but we will happily have a member of staff on hand to help if needed. It is a large area to cover but we do get wheelchair visitors, some are regulars. Some pictures on our website may help you to view the area. Hope this helps and if you would like to speak further please give me a call. Andrew Scott, Owner

Hello, apart from the activity barn is there anything to do inside? Just looking for rainy day ideas with my 1.5 yr old . thanks

Hi there, we are now into our winter season and the indoor areas are the activity play barn, hatchery and cafe. We don't have chicks over the winter months as it is to cold for them to survive and handling is limited. There are also a few toys for small children in the cafe. Winter admission is at a reduced rate and you can find this out on our website. Hope that helps and that we will see you at the park.

Although this is an old question I'd like to add an updated answer for anyone searching recently. Dogs are now quite restricted in where they can go in the park. Please see our website/facebook for more information.

Is there anyway of using public transport from Perth to thw wildlife centre? Thanks
2016년 4월 7일 작성
I have a friend who took her kids on the bus from Perth to Comrie and had phoned Auchingarrich Centre before hand and they arranged to collect them at the entrance road to the centre where the bus dropped them off. Worth a phone call to see if they still do this.

Are you charging full admission prices now in January? Also is your access road unaffected by current conditions. Was planning on a family visit on Saturday 16 January.
2016년 1월 14일 작성
Winter charges I should think. The weather at the moment not looking good. Probably lots of snow.

My father uses a disabled scooter to get around - could he get around the park?
2015년 9월 28일 작성
Hi there, yes you can get around the main area of the park easily, the paths being part tarmac and part pebbles. On arrival the staff will tell you the best route to take the scooter and our café, toilets and shop are all on the level so no problem there. To visit our larger animals up the hill you can take the car, it's a short but very scenic route and again if you speak to the staff on entry they'll give you all the directions. Hope to see you at some point and may thanks for your enquiry.

Do I need a car to get there from kilmarnock , Ayrshire and to roam parts of the centre
2015년 2월 24일 작성
Thank you for your question. Although the park is all walk around it would be easier and less time consuming to travel to us by car - from Kilmarnock this should take approximately 1 and 1/2 hours. By public transport you would have to get to Comrie, Perthshire and then it is about a miles walk to the park although if you telephone us beforehand (01764 679469) and let us know your expected arrival time in Comrie we can arrange for someone to pick you up there. By public transport I would expect it to take you 2 and 1/2 to 4 hours to get here. Hope that helps.

Answer as given to your previous request but please accept our apologies for taking so long - we had to re-register on the site and this held things up. Many thanks.
