Rented kitesurfing equipment from them and bought a hat. Despite using the equipment 2-3 hours per day for 4 days, they charged me a full day’s rent! ...and 20 US dollars for a hat. Nearby kite schools offer better service at lower prices.

I came to Cumbuco not knowing how to kite, and now I can launch, ride, and do downwind turns. I needed about 12 hours of lessons to get comfortable on the board. Milena was my instructor, and she was a good fit for me. I speak English, and we were able to communicate well.
I was able to kite every day in Cumbuco, and lessons were almost always available on a schedule that was good for me. The beach near the school was sometimes busy, and the nearby lagoon was so packed that you were rarely more than 25 meters from another rider.
The instructors at Kiteline always seemed well trained and safe. On one occasion, another rider’s ejected kite drifted into my path and I was tangled in the lines, and a different Kiteline instructor very quickly helped me out. Another time, my own kite eject popped out on its own, and a Kiteline employee gave me a tow back to shore and helped recover the kite.
I hope to come back and kite some more with Kiteline next year!

Eu e meu namorado fizemos aula de kite com a instrutora Milena. Foi incrível! Super paciente e engraçada, ao final do curso básico conseguimos velejar um pouquinho :) já to querendo marcar a próxima viagem!

Kiteline Cumbuco showed me how wonderful it is to be on a board with a kite at the ocean.

I started my first lesson just to see how it would feel. A super nice kitesurf instructor, who talked english, showed me the force a kite. After that I wanted more and could immediatly start the beginners course. The receptionist was very helpful. As a dutch woman speaking a bit of portuguese they gave me the choice to get a portguese speaking instructor for the rest of the lessons. Again a super nice and patient instructor. Had a very good time. Lessons were planned flexible and they always gave me confidence even when I was scared shitless.
Good location. Nice vibe. Material in good condition.
One advice: a dutch speaking instructor. (You can hire me 😉).
I would definately recommmend my friends.

Milena en elousia and the rest of the crew are amazing!
This is the 3rd place where my boyfriend and i took lessons and we are very happy with the way of teaching. Milena speaks englisch very well and is super relaxed. She gives you confidence and instructions in a nice way. We improved our skills here and really enjoyed the downwindtrip, it was so much fun.
Definitely recommend this place for good lessons, fun and nice people!
