Amazing Experience Owl Flying

an amazing experience owl flying today.
We flew the barn owl but held all the owls.
They are so knowledgeable and animal welfare friendly. It’s refreshing.
The setting is beautiful and we rounded off our experience with a cream tea.
Highly recommend but book soon as it sounds like the government are banning these in the future 🥹

Wonderful and awe inspiring. I’d booked an Owl Experience for my wife’s birthday as a follow on from The Hawk Walk we’d enjoyed a couple of years ago. It was fun and an education at the same time. We were able to handle a number of different owls while expanding our knowledge on these wonderful birds. We then relocated to a field and flew a Barn Owl and a stunning Eagle Owl. A quite fabulous session with experts.
Impressive all round and highly recommended - thank you Matt and Sharon👍

Absolutely brilliant afternoon - thank you to Matt and Sharon for their hospitality!

Matt was so knowledgeable, his passion for animals shone through and he really took time with us providing lots of interesting facts as he introduced each of the birds

It is evident how much they care for animals and how well looked after they are at Sharandys

This was a Christmas gift for my Father and he couldn’t have enjoyed the day more

Delicious cream tea in their summer house finished the day off perfectly

Highly recommend!

My partner and I took part in the deluxe Birds of Prey experience. Could not recommend it more. Had an amazing day and learnt so much about so many fascinating birds.

Falconry at Cricket St Thomas Hotel

We attended a display of 4 different types of Owls, presented by Sharon and Matt. It was fabulous and very informative. We thoroughly enjoyed it. The birds - Tawny, Barn, Little and European Eagle Owls were beautiful and really well presented. They all loved being handled and it was comical watching the Barn Owl (like the royalty he is) making Matt kneel before he would fly to him.

What a wonderful way to spend a morning.

Absolutely fantastic truly special memories made today

Hands down THE BEST interactive experience we have ever had. What a wonderful time we had today Thankyou so much! From the moment we arrived at the beautiful home and grounds of Sharandys Birds of Prey we knew it would be special. Stunning grounds and views to die for - what an idyllic setting for a wonderful ‘Ultimate Owl Experience’. When they say it’s a ‘hands on experience’ they do not exaggerate ! We literally were the only 2 people there and had an entire display and met all the owls individually. Our guide was amazing - so informative and so passionate about the owls. Every question answered in detail and so much fascinating information about their subjects. Each owl we met had such clear personalities and looked so well and content. They obviously enjoy the interaction and were beautifully cared for. I cannot say which was my favourite because they were all just incredible! With the leather gauntlet/ gloves on we had the most wonderful time holding them ( they perch on your arm and it’s surprising how much they actually weight!). Some of the owls can be stroked and touched and the guide explains exactly how to do this so you can get very close to them which was a real privilege. After a good hour or so we had a smashing cup of tea and then went to the field to participate in some flying. Due to the slight risk still of avian flu the owls used were tethered and that was a very wise decision. They clearly care very deeply about all their animals. The sight of a large eagle owl flying straight at you is truly amazing and such a special experience. Not just once but several times so plenty of opportunity for videos and photos to remember the experience. We also flew with the barn owl whic was a little angle so effectionate and sweet ! Afterwards everyone had a nice chat and there was no rush to get us to leave so we felt so special and valued. It was truly a memorable day and worth every penny and more! I would go back in a heartbeat! Highly recommended. Don’t walk - RUN to book your ticket. I’m 52 and loved it had I been a kid I think I might have exploded with excitement it was so much fun. Birds of prey handling experience.

Fantastic experience. The birds are amazing and well looked after. The owners are very experienced and knowledgeable and made you feel completely at ease with the birds. Will be booking again. Would highly recommend.

Amazing experience. Would highly recommend. My husband and son did the one hour handling experience. The chap was so informative and interesting. His extensive knowledge and care he has for the birds is fantastic.

Brilliant afternoon! To be up close to these wonderful birds was a privilege. The love and understanding they receive is obvious and we learnt so much about them. Delicious cream tea too! Thoroughly recommended.
