Take time out to focus on yourself and maybe step into some unknown territory- like an the ice bath, or the art of silenct appreciation.
The crew are great, setting peaceful and calming, food delicious and nurturing.
My only comment would be to teach the deep tummy breath - don’t assume people know how to do it correctly.
Other than that it’s a great experience that warrants a drive north, or better, book a weekend away. I’d definitely be up for a repeat

Amazing Place Amazing People. Nice clean and tidy accomodation, shower and toilet facilaties.
Service went beyond expectations with wholesome lovely tasting vegeterian meals provided daily.
Will definitely go back again.

Sublime Retreat in the Peria Valley

I highly recommend any retreats offered at the Tushita Mystery School. It's a beautiful place for a start - you can't help but relax and melt into the natural surroundings. Amazing energy abounds.
The teachings and teachers are also amazing. For those who want to explore life and themselves beyond just the physical.

My wife and i spent a week here for an intensive silent meditation program. - I AM program. I found this very refreshing, although it took my mind a day or two to get used to the discipline of the meditation regimen. The loving and food arrangements were simple and adequate. The location of their School is out in the rural countryside, which was great!

Meditation one day retreat

Absolutely lovely ladies who held the space for the day. Beautiful warm presence for us all. For me (only me), I felt like I needed some sort of 'grounding' exercise before the day and after each break. Especially because this type of meditation didn't provide anything to focus on (not even the breath) so for me I needed something to at least ground me into the sitting meditation each time (i.e. at minimum, a focus on the breath and mindfulness around the breath before beginning) :-) I also feel that I prefer at least one thing to focus on in meditation practice (like I'd mentioned about the breath), otherwise it feels a little pointless for me as I spend the whole time lost in mindless (not mindful) thought. I wonder if this type of practice may be more suitable for someone who has less overpowering thoughts than I do ! ha ha. I'm only assuming. Sometimes I can sit in complete silence with nothing to focus on but that space before my thoughts, however that's usually after I have done a meditation practice already. Thank you so much to the lovely people who took this and looked after us all so well

Hi there, thank you for your honest review. This was our 1st one day Silent IAM Meditation Retreat (they usually run for 2-7 days), so it's really helpful for us to hear about your experience. Grasping the practise of Insight Awareness Meditation can take some time, especially when many meditation techniques offer an area of focus, like the breath, for example. IAM on the other hand, is a process of non-trying, to become the impartial observer of one's mind (and all the thoughts that come and go!). However we did encourage everyone to use the breath as an anchor point in order to regain awareness that is seperate from the thoughts. It was a pleasure having you join us, and if you're keen to delve deeper into the practise, we'd love to see you at one of our longer retreats. Only Love, the Tushita team.

I spent 6 days at his Hermitage. The physical beauty is lush and the nergy is sensual.Yum! The people who serve to run the place are very easy and fun to be with. I recommend.
