White House Farm Crossways, Newcastle 웨일즈
Down the end of a very long winding road is a cider farm. We were met by a charming lady who showed us the produce including cider, fruit cider, coulis and marmalade. All of it is delicious but very expensive. There is no dry cider but that was no problem as I prefer off dry or medium dry. The medium and sweet ciders were too sweet. I also bought some rhubarb cider which is excellent, strong and dry, actually more like scrumpy than anything else. I also bought delicious marmalade but the most expensive jar I’ve ever had! So no bargains to be had here. I pay £1.29 for 500ml Henney’s cider at Aldi and it’s very good - this stuff is better but at £3 a bottle - definitely not that much better. I think this place is best suited to wealthy American tourists. I shan’t be coming back.
