Great local venue for music and drama and films

What a great venue, we came to see Twist and Shout, fab music by West End performer. Tickets are excellent value for money. Seating is comfortable. Volunteer ushers are really helpful. There’s a bar and seating, and free parking

I can highly recommend Elgiva!
I attended numerous shows and spectacles and it always been a great time! Also the movie nights are worth to attend as is peaceful and never too busy.

Bison, Snake, Popcorn, what else could you need?
Well priced popcorn and cheesy nachos at the drive thru. Was extremely impressed by the 3m bronze statue of a bison outside The Elgiva, would love to know more about its links to local history, maybe a plaque? As soon as you walk in everyone is lovely, great atmosphere, staff, pet python, food and comfortable seats. The Pantomime was a dream!

Not every town has its own theatre so we’re very fortunate here in Chesham. It shows movies, hosts music gigs, has a great annual panto & regular, good quality, live theatre by Chesham’s many talented amateur companies. Support your local asset... we’re very lucky & don’t want to lose it!! 🤩

Local Theatre & Play House
Its quite small but its local, some ware to go to watch a film, a show or a play. It has a cafe & is open during the daytime & evenings. Well worth a visit just keep an eye on what is on there.

We met up with my Aunty in the café and ordered an all day breakfast. Although it took some time to come, it was superb - lovely and hot and definitely freshly cooked. The standard breakfast was more than enough but there's a larger version for those with a larger appetite. Aunty had a bacon/mushroom/cheese pannini and it was large enough for her to take half of it home for her tea.

Giselle performed by the Vienna Festival Ballet

Just excellent - I booked two front row seats for Giselle performed by the Vienna Festival Ballet on Saturday afternoon expecting it to be possibly a bit naff as this is a small provincial theatre. BUT WOW how wrong my expectations were. Yes it's a small venue not posh at all but it's the ballet performance that's the draw and once the curtains opened it was just superb. The dancers were excellent their performance was top notch, captivating, powerful, emotional and simply sublime. And being so close with no distractions, just the stage and the dancers was like having a private show just for our pleasure. And at the price we will be back - why go to London pay an exorbitant price for seats plus train fares (from Hemel) when just a short car ride away you can have this. My Wife and I were truly blown away. Great Stuff
