Are any rooms recently renovated with new beds, no carpets and no bedspreads (just duvets that can be cleaned). One guest has life threatening allergies and will pay more for newly renovated rooms.

Not that I know of I visited the place in early Dec 2018. The best option is to ask the Hotel directly

I’d ask the hotel itself regarding anything life threatening. Perhaps your friend should travel with their own mattress pad, pillows, sheets and duvet.
