Is the hotel situated far from the main sights of the City?. Are there any places walking distance from the hotel, restaurants, public transportation,?
The hotel is located off the beaten path but as noted taxis are readily available and the hotel staff are excellent in assisting. We liked being out of the tourist area as it was very peaceful. We walked to most attractions only taking a taxi once.
The hotel has excellent concierges and can get you taxis and direct you to all the main attractions
Hello, There is really nothing within walking distance to this hotel and that is the one drawback to the hotel. It is up on a hill and it does require that you either have a car or take taxis to get to main attractions etc.
It is a little far from the "scene". In a quiet part of Lisbon...near all the Embassy residences. You can walk, but you would need an UBER or Cab to get to the Alfama and the old sights..

You would need a taxi to get to the old city, but I don't think it's very far - taxi's are not expensive.
There are good restaurants in walking distance-ate twice at Come Prima which was excellent and other restaurants are on Rue do Olival . National Museum of Ancient Art also in walking distance. Location was fine for us-would not stay anyplace else
The other answers are excellent so here are my thoughts - the area is worth a little wander, the embassies are quite something, especially the architecture of the US Embassy. We went to a marvellous little restaurant nearish - Restaurante Raizes, which offers fine dining Portuguese modern food in a tiny and utterly charming little restaurant. It would have been walking distance if my partner had been fitter, but he was recovering from an illness and not up to walking. Taxis are cheap though, and the hotel is so special it's worth the very slight inconvenience of being out of the main area. Don't forget to use the garden and the pool - gorgeous!!!!
There is not a great deal of interest in the immediate surrounding area. It is the embassy district ( the Chinese embassy is almost opposite the entrance)
Taxis are cheap and the concierge and doormen are fantastic, they have a taxi in minutes. the taxi are cheap 6 euros to the time out market and 8 euros to the ave de liberado, the main high street
